And can we not let Bernier play shootouts anymore? Nothing against him, but he just got embarrassed and was lucky to save the third one on the all or nothing dive.
Bernier is 0-2. Quick is 7-0.
While I agree he was embarrassed tonight, the other SO he lost he only gave up one on a great goal and the Kings didn't score a single one. He also won a SO last year in one of the game he played when he came up.
I don't give a damn if Bernier has a 0-0 shutout on 80 saves going into the next shootout hes involved in... He better take a seat and watch Quick from the bench. I'll take an ice cold Quick in a shootout over Bernier any day of the week.
Honestly, I loved that the Kings didn't slow down after the Rangers score. Love that attitude. It sucks not having the luxury of having Quick in the shootout. It's all about patience.
Blame Bernier for the game, not the shootout. Both those goals against Bernier in the shootout were nice.

You could tell the kings were tired, combine that with how many defensive zone giveaways they had, and the fact they fell behind with 3 minutes to go. That is a game you are supposed to get 0 points in, a point is huge
KK so at worst, in which position will we by the end of the night? Like who wins the tiebreaker between us & anaheim right now? We've both got the same points, same amount of wins and have played the same amount of games

While I agree.
Its not smart to ruin Bernier`s confidence and pride for an extra point.
He has already proved since we drafted him that he is a very weak between the ears and it might ruin his career.
The moves looked good because Bernier was flopping like a fish. People try those moves every day but get stoned by a goalie staying home. The problem with those two moves is Bernier sold himself out on the pokecheck but both time Bernier's stick wasn't even on the ice. You couldn't play them worse. Bernier gave up this game. His goals against were played in an embarrassing fashion at times where you can't give up a goal.
I'm not one of your typical bitter grapes posters and always give the players the benefit of the doubt but Bernier didn't derve that.

It doesn't matter honestly.. If Quick was playing tonight we probably don't go into OT and leave town with 2 points. Bernier is just not good enough in shootouts, nor is he ready to be a true #1.
Havent lost in regulation in 11, 1 point out of 3rd in the conference and first in the division, and all you can say is that our goalie is a joke because he gave up 2 shoot out goals?

Both goals Bernier gave up in the shootout were excellent moves. You can't fault him on either one.
Quoted for truth. Those guys are also 4 for 4 and 4 of 5 in the shootout. Looks like every goalie has trouble with them.
Amazing how Quick is hugely praised last night giving up 3 goals on 24 shots but winning in the shootout and Bernier stands on his head most of this game, giving up 3 goals on 37 shots and you all say he's crap just because he wasn't good in the SO. How quickly we forget the saves he made to keep us in the game when we looked like **** in the 2nd.
1] Richardson neverrrrrr gets lucky, he did good today even if you guys arent mentioning it, he had some fire power
2] Jack Johnson was on steroids :p
3]Kopitar was invisible to be honest, hes not as creative as he used to be
4]Greene was good today
5]Bernier was good, but let in stupid goals, and WAY too easy to fool in shootouts
6]Brown was really good.
final note, kopitar is just very unlike himself. he says hes fine, no injuries or anything, then why the hell is he doing so bad, yeah he gets assists, but i dont know where goal scoring kopi has vanished to
the Kings were too sloppy today, kopi on the 3rd goal looked really bad, maybe he was tired. But I loved when we came back and answered right after we got hit.

who is the joke exactly?
I stated my opinion....You dont like it? Fine.

If Quick is in, who knows if he makes the regulation saves. When he's on his game, he's unstoppable; but he is prone to letting in even worse goals than Bernier did. Remember the Blues game when we should have gotten at least a point, and he let a half ass shot go through the five hole?
But in shootout, I would just go to Quick. He's 7-0. You ride the dude who has won every single time he's played in the shootout.
