I want to ask to Lundqvist haters have you ever played in goal before? Have you ever tried to stop a puck when its deflected? When you can't see it? etc?

Good game. I wish we would have won it in regulation.

Seriously. It might look soft, but when it changes direction and speed so suddenly, it has to be extremely difficult to stay with it.

That 3rd goal for the Kings was seriously such ********. Annoyed that this wasn't a regulation win.

Granted, we wouldn't have seen the things of beauty of Christ and Zuc...

The Good: Callahan, Avery (really got this team going with 2 good back to back shifts in the 2nd), and Dubinsky's goal

The Bad: The Powerplay, Dubinsky's 3 penalties, Tort's stupid timeout and Sam's drooling all over it, and blowing 2 leads

The Dredden: The Officiating - how many missed calls?

The goals were not Hank's fault, I will normally rip him for his softies, but the 2nd goal was a deflection and the 3rd was an amazing goal

I really don't understand the people that blame Lundqvist for the last goal. It went off a stick and bounced off his head. ? I'm not a goalie, can someone tell me what he should have done?
Nothing. It's a fluke goal that happens once in a million times (especially at that speed).

POTG(s): Staal, Avery, McDonagh
Good: Callahan, Dubinsky, Boyle
Bad: Lundqvist on that Brown goal(2nd one). Bizarro timeout by Tortellini.

People only notice what Lundqvist does wrong, never what he does right. Let's not forget that he just stopped Anze Kopitar to win the shootout and in the 1st period he absolutely stole a goal that the Kings had all but put in. That made the difference.

Redden: Pp scheme, clearly they didn't work on it for the past 3 days still looks futile, and MDZ's confidence

I like Bob Miller (LA's PbP man). Jim Fox is annoying though.

Only negative here with winning it in the shootout is shootout wins don't count towards the win tiebreaker. Other then that, two points is two points. Cally was easily the player of the game. Guy was all over the place tonight, especially on that one penalty kill where he lost his stick.

I dont get it. You blame Hank on the 3rd goal and yet McDonagh is POTGs despite simply watching that 1st goal. That on him and Gilroy (I think).

Hank had a very good game.

I had no issue with the Torts timeout. We've had problems all season long with pur play dropping off right after we score. Saw it tonight, too. Call the TO and let the guys try to regroup and focus for the last three. Obviously it didn't work, but who is to say that things would have ended differently had he not called the timeout? Is anyone really going to tell me they were at all confident in our 3-2 lead?

I hate Torts, but I don't fault him for that. At some point, the players need to stop playing like little *****es.

POTG- Callahan was great he played his best game since coming back from his injury.

The Good- Really hard fought game and we scored on a wraparound
The Bad- Powerplay
The Redden- Torts calling a timeout after we take the lead and then the kings score right after.

Callahan is the obvious choice but Sauer was a man among boys tonight. Reminds me a lot...I mean a lot of a bigger bodied Kevin Lowe. Always in the right place, right time -- super smooth and calm with the puck.

Staal was a monster tonight. I dont care about the -2.

I think the color commentator is really bad. A homer, and he also has this annoying inflection in his voice when finishing sentences. You know how people kind of make a definitive, higher-toned voice when they're about to cut to commercials? That guy does it after everything he says. I noticed it months ago and now it's all I hear.

Just looked at the stat sheet. Says the third goal was scored by Anisimov? Is that wrong? I thought it went off the the goalies pad and in on the wraparound.

Hank was very good, but that 3rd goal, he needs to be on the post. Bad bounce but it can't happen.

And that 1st one was ALL on Gilroy. Did a classic helicopter swing and miss, looked like a forward. Oh wait, he is one.

they changed the scoring on Dubi's goal (i thought Anisimov got a stick on it).

16:52 NYR Artem Anisimov (13) Tip-In - Assists: B. Dubinsky (24) & R. Callahan (15)
