So, I guess NHL Network (US) is doing a piece on Brindy that'll air before the game tomorrow (don't know if it's just the ceremony or what). On the programming guide, the hour before the game is listed as "Rob Brindamour". NHL's own network can't even get it right.

Oh, and Go Flyers!!!

December 11, 2008 -- Scott Hartnell (3-0-3) had a hat trick and the Flyers equalled the greatest comeback in team history with a 6-5 shootout victory in Philly. Carolina led 5-1 after two periods but the Flyers started a rally when Hartnell scored a SHG 1:42 into the third period and then hel completed his hat trick 5:30 later. Scottie Upshall scored with 4:52 left in regulation and then Simon Gagne evened the game with 1:44 to play. Gagne and Mike Richards scored for the Flyers in the 2-0 shootout round. Antero Niittymaki made 26 saves in the game and was 2-for-2 in the final round. Michael Leighton (32 saves), Eric Staal (2-1-3) and Tuomo Ruutu (0-3-3) led the Hurricanes. Carolina led 3-1 in the second period and then scored twice on PPs given when the Flyers were issued 21 PIMs to the Canes' five at 11:31 of the middle period for an Andrew Alberts/Arron Asham-Scott Walker confrontation -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1aqLHHR_Zw . Earlier, Hartnell fought Casey Borer -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI95T...eature=related ; The game marked the fourth meeting in 16 days between the squads. My favorite non fight Cote game. He sparked that comeback with a nice assist by causing a turnover on the forecheck

You're the second person tonight I've seen say this. I already called this prediction a month or two ago. All of a sudden, people are starting to see things my way. I rule.

Drat! I was quoting from memory. How about: "Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is 'Never get involved in a land war in Asia,' but only slightly less well known is this: 'Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!' "

I love that movie. One of those I can watch over and over. We're airing it soon for my church's Youth Group.

I wish Comcast was showing the whole ceremony. Brind'Amour was my first favorite player. Anyways, it's the closest anyone who became a fan in the 90s is coming to seeing one of those guys having their number retired, and I'm assuming one day he has his day in front of us for the Flyers Hall of Fame.

Ok new strategy guys!

If we have shut them out for 2 periods, we switch goalies in the 3rd.

Team shutouts still count!

And you're a Flyer fan? You should know there is way more to it than just scoring goals. I seen one poster and here say it best (though I won't did up the post). He said something about how if someone does not buy into the system like Zherdev putting him out there could cause the team to have some doubts and not be in the same page. Everyone should be on the same page. Something like that. He/she said it way better than me.
