Jokinen moving to the top line was part of a handful of line changes at Friday’s morning skate, which also saw Tuomo Ruutu move back to center between Jeff Skinner and Chad LaRose. Brandon Sutter, who has recently shifted between offensive and defensive roles centering the second and third lines, will be in more of a shutdown role between Sergei Samsonov and Jiri Tlusty against the Flyers.
Ryan Carter, normally the Canes’ fourth-line center, skated for the second straight day on Friday but will not play, ensuring that Jerome Samson will stay in the NHL for now.
And you're a Flyer fan? You should know there is way more to it than just scoring goals. I seen one poster and here say it best (though I won't did up the post). He said something about how if someone does not buy into the system like Zherdev putting him out there could cause the team to have some doubts and not be in the same page. Everyone should be on the same page. Something like that. He/she said it way better than me.
It doesn't matter. Carcillo hasn't been doing anything worthy of being on the top 3 lines, and Shelley's even scarier as far as his worthlessness of even being in the lineup. I'd rather move Carcillo down to the 4th line and stick Zherdev in a top 9 role. Obviously Lavi feels differently, and it might have something to do with attitudes that we aren't aware of.
