He's been a healthy scratch a lot recently. It seems as though Boston is looking to get him out of there. Chicago has shown interest. If I was a betting man, Chicago is acquiring a defensmen because Bowman said he was trying to. If I had to pick who it would be, Stuart is looking likely to come to the Windy City.
i will miss mark stuart. he's the kind of player whose game makes you not notice him. he's constantly in the mix either hitting or breaking up plays with really good positioning. and he can fight pretty well. unfortunately, adam mcquaid has basically made him obsolete. i wish stuart the best, he's been one of my favorite players the last few years.
From a Bruins fan's perspective I sure hope not. Stuart is just starting to hit his stride and like all the other d-men here, he is restrained by his coach. I think he's underrated w/r/t his puck moving abilities, he's no Brent Burns, but he's better than people think. Boston is gonna need his size, physicality, toughness, and leadership in the postseason. Ference should be the one getting moved.
It looks like it's going to go down soon. The Kaberle rumors, the Stuart scratches, the Hawks need for a defensmen and one who can PK, and the rumors of Stuart being linked to Chicago seem to make it seem that Mark Stuart will soon be a Chicago Blackhawk.
