Just an awful trade from Buffalo's perspective. Then again, I don't believe in Turris the way many do. But Pommer AND Adam, plus a worst 1st rounder, is overpayment. Hate this deal.

I'd love to see Pominville in Phoenix. Coyotes run away with this deal.

What? Horrible trade from Buffalo's point of view.

What's the point of swapping 1sts?

You get a higher first and a better chance of re-building seeing as Turris is younger.

Phoenix is currently winning their division with 71 points.

Buffalo is in 9th with 60 points.

Therefore, Phoenix gets the higher first rounder. That makes even LESS sense.

Pominville

for

Turris
2012 1st

I think that's much fairer for Buffalo, and would also get Phoenix to listen.

Not when we were just offered Pominville, Adam and a 1st it won't

That said, we need a center not a winger....especially if we're trading Turris.

No it wouldn't.

First I'd say the Coyotes still see Turris as their #1 center of the future or at the very least a #2. Second the Coyotes need a center going forward moreso than a winger. And third if they are going to pay a forward $5.3 mill per year I'd sure hope it's a better one than Pominville.

Uhh....No, if playoffs were to start now, Buffalo would get the higher first round pick.....

Buffalo already has a Kyle Turris, except he's putting up points.

And I feel as if you guys are hilariously stumbling over a "high" pick being a late one or an early one

How about:

Pominville for Turris + pick

Right, that's what I meant. The person I was responding to was trying to argue that Buffalo would swap picks because they'd get a higher one. Based on the standings today, that is not the truth.

How about Turris doesn't go anywhere. It's clear you guys vastly underrate him if you feel like we have to throw in a 1st rounder to package him for an overpaid second line winger.

Poms has been a top 15 scoring right winger every year for the past 4+ years, but keep telling yourself that.

Second line winger? Pominville continually puts up 60+ pts. How many RW's in the NHL can do that? Hint: It's not anywhere near 30.

right... the career high of 20pts Kyle Turris is being vastly underrated... and yet you are calling a guy who Averages over 65 pts a year for 5 years and plays in all situations... a 2nd line winger....

you can't "vastly underrate" an unproven 21 yr old... but you can sound like any idiot when you don't know what you are talking about.

Value wise this proposal looks like a phoenix homer proposal, just dont know that the yotes could do it based on the salary increase. Turris isnt the prospect he was a couple of years ago, still has great potential but I dont see him as the 40 goal scorer that we though he would be more like a 25 goal guy, I dont see why Buffalo would do this

Lmao, over value Turris much? I understand he is only 21 but I just don't see this guy ever being a quality 1st line center or even a very good 2nd line center. An adequate 2nd liner but not great.
