I've had one major concussion and it's taken 5 years to fully over come it.

I'll be honest, if we were a cap team he'd be on the LTIR list. What doublily hurts is that his contract is not insured.

that was my thought... if he can be symptom free soon then maybe he will be healthy for next year.

probably shouldnt even try to get back this season

Heh, I'm worried about two things. Current symptoms and lingering symptoms.

(So says the guy looking at potiential PCS)

When will Tootoo get the green light?

I know Tootoo has been allowed to practice with the team, but the powers that be haven't yet given permission to travel and return to the lineup. Anyone done research on how long other players have had to wait after being allowed to practice (but not play) to venture a guess on Toots? Gotta be frustrating for him, but I won't dare don a shrinks hat on this one.

well, thats what everyone said about Sully, and he went almost two years before he had another stretch on IR.

in any case he's paid for, so whatever time we cant get out of him is a plus

What's the timetable on O'Reilly? They were saying about two months when he was injured, right? That could put him back in the lineup before the end of the year (although it'd be close). It would be very nice to get a scoring-line center back.

I think the original diagnosis was 6-8 weeks which would put him at the end of Feb

edit: Looking back at old articles, he's out indefinitely. He got a plate put in so it'll be way more than 6 weeks. I'm no doctor, but I'd say at least 2 months to heal plus another month to recover. I think we've pretty much counted him out for the rest of the year.

Which is a partial reason why we went after Fisher. That and he's a great post-season producer. With Fisher filling the number 2-3 hole I think we can assume o'reilly wont be back this year. Shame.

can't believe sully is probable for sat. The way he was acting right after it happen made it look really bad.

Goc in a sling? Hopefully just bruised/sore.

Fisher probably went into the locker room the first time and was like "what the hell?..everybody says you can't afford to keep your best players but you can afford to employ a Court Jester?"

Goc probably has a separated shoulder from what I saw last night.

I honestly thought Sully had a concussion from the way he was getting up. He just looked woozy.

I'm day to day as I can't seem to get rid of this dang sinus headache I've had all week. Comes and goes. Damn allergies.

I forgot to mention that I saw O'Reilly at the game last Saturday. Still on crutches with a big boot on. So yeah, nothing new there heh

Looked like another dislocation. Same one as before. Once those start happening, seems like they happen more often. Any orthopedists confirm that?

More likely a separation than a dislocation. Dislocations are much more serious. Separated only means partially out of the socket whereas a dislocation is completely out from what I remember. Earlier in the season it was separated.

This is actually a common misunderstanding. Dislocation and separation are two very different injuries. A dislocation is when the head of the humerus comes out of socket, partial or fully. A separation has to do with tearing of the ligaments that connect the collar bone and shoulder blade. A separated shoulder is not related to the arm.

I totally forgot the Goc had a shoulder injury earlier this year. Who wants to search for a link? Not it

Oh yeah, reoccurance is very high with shoulder dislocations. I can speak from personal experience

I always thought separation was more serious. Seem to recall a trainer being able to "pop" a dislocated shoulder back into place...
