Kings & Ducks Have Identical Records

I've never seen these two teams this deep into a season have close to the same amount of points let alone IDENTICAL RECORDS.

Kings:
Overall: 32-22-4
Home: 17-9-1
Road: 15-13-3

Ducks:
Overall: 32-22-4
Home: 17-9-1
Road: 15-13-3

Would be great for SoCal hockey if both of these teams get in and make some noise. Then hopefully the Ducks lose in 4 games in the WCF to the Kings

Pretty impressive.

Ducks are winning with great offense, hit-and-miss defense, and a great goalie.

Kings are winning with hit-and-miss offense, great defense, and a great goalie.

I hope the Kings and Ducks (or at least the Kings) clinch a spot before the final two games. If the final two games came down to who made it in, damn, that would be crazy.

I hope the Ducks miss the playoffs too, but can you imagine how fun it would be if the Kings met up with them in the playoffs?

I'm more concerned getting into the playoffs right now, and of course with winning a playoff series when we get to that point, what the Quacks do and if we meet them in the playoffs is way way way down the list of concerns for me.

The home and away records being identical is pretty creepy.

That would be great.

And Kings vs Ducks in the playoffs would be even better.

Maybe the local media would actually cover hockey for a change. Nah.

What would really create a buzz if both teams met after the first round. You'd get a little press for both making it and then the buzz around them potentially playing each other followed by actually playing the series. As hockey fans, that is something we should all hope for.

Ugh.

I hate everything about the Ducks not named Visnovsky.

I hate their fans, building, and uniforms.

I hate that the franchise was born out of a Disney movie.

I hate the fact that they've won a cup and we haven't, and I hate the fact that they have so many good forwards. (Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry is a ridiculously good 1st line)

And above all I hate Bryan Hayward. That guy is a ****en ***** *** piece of **** ******.

I wish Brian Burke was still their GM.

Funny that they are both technically 7-3 in there last ten. Kings: 7-0-3, Ducks: 7-3-0.

I agree with the sentiment in your post but the only reason the Ducks exist is because of Bruce McNall's need for cash.

as much as I hate the Ducks, you have to hand it to them for how well they are doing this year. I don't think anyone saw that coming, especially with the way their D looked at the start of the season. Carlyle is obviously a hell of a coach.

Don't stop there...it's downright creepy when you break down the west records:

Anaheim
vs West 22-16-3
vs Central 5-9-1
vs Northwest 9-1-2
vs Pacific 8-6-0
vs East 10-6-1
Atlantic 4-2-0
Northeast 3-2-0
Southeast 3-2-1

Los Angeles
vs West 22-17-2
vs Central 6-9-0
vs Northwest 10-1-2
vs Pacific 6-7-0
vs East 10-5-2
vs Atlantic 3-1-2
vs Northeast 2-4-0
vs Southeast 5-0-0

Ducks and Kings all the way in the playoffs

I just hope the Coyotes and Stars don't take up space. Those two have no shot at a cup at all.

This.

I have a dream where they get worse and worse over the years and start hemorrhaging fans until they're not profitable and get moved to another city or disbanded. I honestly want this to happen.

With all do respect to lubo, I no longer support or care for lubo. He is a duck. I detest everything about anahiem.

and in regards to them having an awesome 1st line, in a year or two that might be all they have. Selanne is old, koivu is old, they have a very porous defense. Heck they probably look at the kings and hate the fact that we have so many good young goalies and defensemen on the team and in the system.

No not really. We have Fowler who is 18, Sbisa who is 21, Vatanen and Schultz who are tearing up their respective leagues and Mitera and Clark who are starting to come around in the A. Bernier is a good young goalie for sure but it's not like Hiller is a grandpa and we've had luck finding goalies so it's not a concern. As a Duck fan I don't think I've ever been jealous of the Kings ever.

Im not sayin hiller is a grandpa, or that he isnt a great goalie, and fowler and sbisa are both looking like they are going to be very good defensemen in this league for a long time. But what I was saying was that while the ducks have a better group of forwards than the kings, the kings have a better group of Dmen and goalies than the ducks. Doughty and Johnson are two of the best young dmen in the league, with greene, scuderi, mitchell (when hes healthy), and young defensemen like voynov, martinez, and forbort. Heck, hickey and teubert still have potential
