Amen to that - certainly, his play has been just as pathetic as Rivet's and equally justifiable of being a healthy scratch. Both guys no longer can keep up with the pace of the game today.

It could be the first time this summer where 3 former Sabres all retire in the offseason. I can't see any teams being interested in either Rivet or Niedermeyer, and Grier seems to just have run out of gas at age 35.

Isn't this the normal TBN-feed, just being used by some other site?

Carolina is up 1-0.

Connolly sucks. He needs to get that on net.

Vanek with a couple of quick scoring chances with Hecht/Poms the moment Ruff pulls him of the Byron/McCormick line.

Another "great" powerplay where they refuse to get the puck deep. This team will not dump and chase on the powerplay and it ends up in their net on the next shift.

I saw Myers drifting around, but where the heck was his partner?

Byron's really good at puck possession along the wall for a little guy.

Byron's puck possession is great especially on that last shift.

This game is so similar to the Toronto game. The Blues are playing great defensively and the Sabres aren't working anywhere near hard enough to create offense.

I swear if Grier had some sort of foot speed he would have a breakaway every penalty kill.
