I believe the sharks are not done with their trades. Because of ian white, jason demers is now off the roster and is headed to the ECHL. I expect mitchell and/or mcginn to be traded and for wallin to be waived. Who do you guys think the sharks will target next and for who? I could also say that the sharks could probly pick up chris phillips for mitchell and mcginn

Demers will be back tomorrow. As much as I want Wallin waived, I don't think it will happen. Some person claiming inside sources says that Mitchell will be dumped to TB, we'll see. Really no need for Chris Phillips.
Assuming Vlasic is okay,
Boyle-Murray
White-Vlasic
Demers-Huskins
Pretty good if you ask me.

There is only so much shakeup you can do. Move out 1/3 of the blueline and you are kissing any chance of a cup goodbye. It may work well in a fantasy league, but some stability is necessary for a cup in real life. Familiarity counts. There just is not enough time left in the season to do a lot of gelling.

though i would never be caught saying he needs to stay..... a) he isn't as bad as everyone states (leaving the 2.5mil out of that one)...b) HE WON'T BE WAIVED......i mean everybody who says it like they know its gonna happen and not just they wish it would is living in la la land. I really don't see dw waiving somebody that he was willing to resign for that kind of money....end of story.
The Sharks aren't done but I don't think they will do anything else on the blue line with the possible exception of dumping Huskins or Wallin. I'm not expecting any adds outside the organization for their blue line. Probably in net and maybe up front but unlikely on the blue line now.
With White onboard, they probably don't want another PMD even though to me, White isn't the most ideal PMD...I'd love to STILL get JM Liles, but it'll cost too much from the Sharks POV. With that said, we'd have a lot of PMD, and not enough defensive defenseman if we got Liles.

Meanwhile, Wilson also believes Braun, when he does arrive, could have the same immediate impact that center Logan Couture had a year ago.
“We feel very strongly about Justin and it’s always been part of our plan to get him back up here for awhile,” Wilson said. “When he’s here, we’ll have added two big defensive pieces.”
Wallin is a needed ingredient because he is one of two defensemen with size. We need him and Murray on the PK against big bodies (Think of Detroit and Chicago in front of the net). We also need him against certain big centres. So he's not going anywhere IMO despite his outsized contract and what people believe about his play.
I also don't think you can have too many NHL defensemen for a long Cup run. If someone goes, Huskins is the more likely candidate at this point but I believe we will find a way to keep them all. I would rather play Huskins over Wallin against smaller teams so expect we will see them both split duty when everyone is healthy.
doubtful. It'll cost a fortune, even knowing he wants out. he's still like 21/22 and developing.

We would be able to get him because we aren't a rival to ATL. I don't think it will happen but I'd see it being more likely than if Montreal or Florida would.
I dunno about that. DW seems a bit too optimistic about Braun coming up and making a Couture like impact.
We have Boyle, Vlasic, Murray, Demers and now White.
Now we're talking about Braun taking the 6/7 spot from Wallin AND Huskins?
Unless Braun is coming up and going to be a a PP specialist and our PP numbers GREATLY improve. I doubt it though.
No please, no more PP "specialists." I am SICK and TIRED of the Sharks trying to go with 7 dmen, like in the WCF when Demers was relegated to PP time only. Guys like "the big 3" need less ice time, and when you go 11 forwards, Thornton and/or Marleau double-shift and are less effective.
Especially in the playoffs, 7 dmen has been an epic fail for the Sharks, going back (As far as I can remember) to 00-01 WCQF against STL [not the 8 seed Sharks, but the season after] when D Sutter went with 7 dmen to get in a PP specialist (at the time, Jeff Jillson).

From the interview with DW it sounds like he is looking for a goalie still. Hopefully he can move torrey in the deal although with Nitty going on LTIR cap geek says sharks have space to add another player in the 800K-900K range

Huskins to St. Louis for Conklin wouldn't be a bad swap.
No doubt, would be great to have the good luck charm as our backup.
Thought I read somewhere that Halak was slightly injured though.
I'm still down for some Hedberg if Conklin can't be acquired. There shouldn't be a whole lot of trouble getting a veteran backup in for anything less than what Huskins makes. There's Conklin, Hedberg, Budaj, and Garon. All of those would work for me.
