Bye bye playoffs. Can't wait to be destroyed by Washington this Sunday on National TV.

Got that right. Boring as hell. Blues played a perfect road game. Sabres once again fail to show up in their own rink.

It would be nice to have a consistent scorer like Jeff Skinner on our team.

And I'm sure you would have been as pissed off as Carolina fans were when they drafted Skinner too, calling him a figure skater.

I highly doubt it, considering I knew nothing about Skinner when he was drafted. But right now he's a better offensive player than anyone on our team.

For who?

Did anyone seriously think they were going to run the table winning at the rate they were in the previous 20gms?

No doubt. This team has been playing above it's capabilities. There are way too many issues to expect it to be a playoff team. It might still make it, but it doesn't truly belong.

The motto for some posters should be.

We love the Sabres win or win.

If they make the playoffs then they are a playoff team and they belong there.

The histrionics on this board after losses is getting old.

We're obviously still gonna be fans whether they win or lose, but it's kinda hard to love any team when they've played this poorly for 2 games straight. Usually if a team has a game as bad as they did against Toronto, they come out and fix most of their mistakes the next time. It seems like we got worse tonight. And I don't like our chances of getting back on track when we face a team like Washington on Sunday, who's been supposedly been playing better defense this year, and their top scorers have been finding their scoring touch again recently.

Nothing wrong with being pissed about the loss. But carrying on that these games were a realtiy check and they aren't a playoff team. Some posters could use a bit of perspective. Maybe stay off the boards for a few days or games so they can step back and see the bigger picture.

Its the first time we've lost 2 games in row since 12/23 and 12/27. That was 21 games ago.

There are 25 games left in the season.

We are 4pts behind the Canes with 2 games in hand and play them 3x
We are 6pts behind the Rags with 3 games in hand and we play them 2x

We still very much control our own destiny.

Losing is frustrating. It's difficult to be optimistic all the time.

Flipped between this and a couple other games. didnt feel like anyone was skating, no intensity, even Rick made the game sound terribly boring without his usual near heartattack shot goes wide calls
