Soft Goals ,period . anyone see the Interview with Roy yesterday . Still has to be tough to play in front of a team that cant score 3

The game winner is on him, period. You can sugar coat it all you want, but it just is. He had a good game against the Deb's, sure, but he just hasn't been what we need in this last stretch of 10 games. Look at the game against the Kings, we go up 3-2 with 4 mins left and they come back down and score from behind the net........ TBH I think hes hiding an injury.

The game winner is on the defense not being able to stop BIG BAD DAN ****ING CARCILLO from having free ****ing real estate board to board infront of the net.

What a joke that 2nd period was.

What about the fact that Carcillo, who has all the skill of a dead ferret, got 3 chances on that play?

Is the defensemen immune to criticism?

at least there was some effort today. Could have used that against the devs.

Credit the flyers for playing smart and not taking a bunch of dumb penalties. Sure thay could have been called for a couple, but overall they played it smart. Guess they fear our PP? lol

We need to keep weeding out the under-performers.

What we really need in terms of personnel are (surprise, surprise) are 2 guys that can work down low. One on O and one on D.

We suck down low. We need to bury loose pucks, and we need to clear our own crease. That also helps our PP.

Time to check my reels. Fly-fishing season is coming.

Something has to be done about it. Serously, sell is the best option for this team. They not ready to compete with big boys. Fire Torts when season over.

I chose "other" because no Philly players or refs were listed.

If you don't think that's what he's done then you're blind. He's created a grind-it-out, hard-working style that gives us a chance in many games. The fact that this team is currently, albeit barely, in a playoff spot is because of this style of play. You can't expect to be much better than this with this group of players.

Hank has a stick, last time i check you can use it to poke check or cover the 5-hole. He has no idea how to do that, how many goals went thru his legs today? 2

He was awful post all-star break until the devil game, he made some good saves today, the 3rd goal was on him.

POTG my A**, we should have been in it. Biron should have started.

Hank should have stopped it but anytime a guy gets his own rebound like that you got to wonder what the defense is doing there.

How can they continue to be so dreadful at home? How can you lose games on goals by Dan Carcillo? Not Carter, Richards, Giroux but Dan Carcillo. Really, this group is talent challenged. Everyone said February would tell the tale with this group. How do you like it so far?

Flyers were tackling Rangers all over the place in the 3rd. Another travesty of a game from the officials. Still the Rangers only showed up for about 30 minutes, and a pissing away points left and right.

This team lacks elite talent.

They have a bunch of very nice players but nothing elite. They play hard for the most part but that's only going to get you so far.

The problem is they NEVER are in the lottery.
That's where you get elite talent at.

I wanted that sorry excuse for a hockey team last year to be in the lottery.
This is to all those too proud Ranger fans who think this team is too good to be in lottery because "only teams like Pittsburgh tank" blah blah blah....

Well this is the result.

Also while I'm on a lack of talent rant...

The lack of top end talent on this team probably also has to do with why the PP has been horrendous.
Really it's been like that for a few years now. Different coaches, different players but one constant is, NO ELITE TALENT. It's the same type of player: hard working.
That's no coincidence. imo

The only good is that Carolina and Atlanta have been doing/ARE just as bad as us.

We'll likely make it into the first round and then get swept.

Whatever. It's time that the only payoff of this season is waiting for the off-season to see who gets Richards.

Didn't you get the memo? Always blame the goalie when we're losing. Always. Disregard that we could've been down 4-1 after the 2nd period.
