Doesn't matter why Schenn got to be in the lineup at 18, just that he was in the lineup when he was 18.

By your logic, Neideraiter (or however its spelled) should have made the team straight out of training camp too.

He did actually, yes.

Played 9 games and they decided to send him back in the WHL. Foward wise, they have youngster in Tavares, Okposo, Bailey, Grabner, Nielson, Schremp and Moulson. All started the season for NYI 26 yo and under. They need some experimented guys too there.
