Yep, it's on the AHL transactions page...I would've went with Grachev

would of went with Zherdev too. Newbury is a battler but he's not going to help offensively. If they lose the Carolina game I may cry, lol

Exactly. We needed offensive help, Kolarik and Grachev would make sense to replace Gaborik, Newbury does not.

WW - Step - Zucc
Dubi - AA - Cally
Avery - Prospal - EC
Newbury - Boyle - Prust

????

or...

Avery - Boyle - Prust
Prospal - EC - Newbury

I think Kolarik played well for us for those games he filled in for.

Our lineup looked a lot worse at points this season, and we actually won games.

I like Newbury but he is bad choice to replace Gaborik. They should of called up someone with more offensive ability like Grachev or Williams.

Grechev is just not ready for full time NHL work. Newbury may actually add some missing grit.

Kolarik has missed the last couple of games for the Whale.

We don't need grit. We need skill. Grachev is more skilled than Newbury, who is basically a much lesser version of everyone on the roster sans Wolski, Zuccarello, and Stepan.

Every time some one is recalled I want it to be Kennedy. That dumb waivers rule...

Grachev can be more skilled in a general sense, but Newbury's experience/game is better served to contribute right now... Grachev still looks quite wet behind the ears skating with NHL players... Plus they said during the broadcast that Torts was going to ride out 3 lines for most of the rest of the season, so if we're making a call-up, it's better served to have Newbury on our 4th than Grachev....

I imagine Zuccarello's minutes will simply increase while Gaborik is gone.

Newbury will toil on the 4th line, it isnt as though he is directly replacing Gaborik.

As they should increase cause he was very effective today. He deserves a shot, as does Stepan and Wolski, to get 17-18 minutes of icetime. That was the best line today, with the pack line (AA, Dubi, Cally) being the other effective line. Carolina is a must win game on Tuesday, 4 point swing. Let's make it happen.

When did Grachev prove to be a much better offensive player than Newberry? I'm trying to find evidence of this.

Hopefully Prospal gets waived before he hits the 10 GP mark and triggers his bonus that eefects our cap next season.

Waive Prospal, send him to the Whale, and bring up Kolarik.

Dubinsky. Anisimov. Callahan
Wolski. Stepan. Zuccarello
Avery. Boyle. Prust
Newbury. Christensen. Kolarik

Not the greatest, but it at least makes some sense considering our situation.

they are not going to wavie Prospal, as much as the team has stunk other teams in the East also stink, Thrashers, Canes, Sabres..........so they are going to keep moving forward and try to get some pts.

do you realize that if they won today they would be a pt out of 6th? Montreal sucks too. So many things can happen in the next 20 games
