Michael Frolik
Ivan Vishnevskiy
Phillipe Paradis
2011 3rd
To Chicago:
Jakub Voracek
Nikita Filatov
Jan Hejda
Hawks would keep Filatov in minors this year for cap reasons. If my math is right this should be a cap friendly deal if Hawks waive Boynton and Scott or Johnson, 2 players like that.
This is assuming the rumors that Voracek is on the block are true.
Columbus gets screwed. Vishnevskiy, though decent, hasn't been as good in the AHL as some of us had anticipated. Vishnevskiy for Hejda is OK value. Paradis isn't going to far and even though Frolik hasn't been too terrible, there's no way he and Paradis is worth it to Columbus to give a division rival Filatov and Voracek.
On that though, I'd do it just for the fact I am a Blackhawks fan.
I wouldn't even trade Voracek for that package. No great value aside from Frolik, but Jake has proved more than him. Add to the fact that it's a division rival and you've got yourself a terrible proposal.

How has Voracek proved more?
Voracek 217 NHL Games Played - 36 goals
Frolik 218 NHL Games Played - 50 goals
Even assuming Voracek and Frolik are equal, the rest of the package isn't worth Filatov and Hejda (UFA). We aren't trading Filatov if we don't get good value for him, we can afford to wait.
Columbus says no until Vishnevsky, Paradis, and the 3rd are substituted out for a single player that is slightly better than their sum.
The only circumstances under which Voracek is traded at all are those in which he is not the best player in the trade.
