ok, i lied, i am going to touch it......

a number 6 overall pick who has looked great when he has not been injured and then an even better piece in a number 7 overall pick who has put up 50 as a 20 year old and now 38 already despite having a miserable/unlucky offensive year so far (+8 on a team that's -16) as a 21 year old and is awesome defensively for a top4 pick and a mid/late 1st who MIGHT end up being as good as the two the jackets are trading.. in the future. then we are throwing in a prospect just because we feel bad for how bad the sens are this year.

What can you say. Over values draft picks and probably hasn't seen them play. Probably just wikied them and looked at their draft number and proposed the trade

Next season he could very well be a 70 point player who is great defensively.

If I had Voracek I would not move him for 1st overall in this draft. Hoping the pick becomes as good as what Voracek is...

Then you want to get a 23 year old who has 57GP 39Pts (57Pt pace) for a late 1st

Insanity
ok insanity....we have different opinions...But if ottawa put the 1st pick on the market we would get more then a Vorachek....

Not from Columbus..

It would be very stupid for a team to trade their #1 center and second best winger for draft picks when said team is trying to compete now.

Shouldn't Ottawa be trying to OBTAIN picks? So that they might build through the draft? So why not propose something that would get the Bluejackets number one pick? The Jackets won't be trading their youth to get more picks. They might trade some youth to fill a need, but they won't be trading their youth to get more picks.

then why would you want Brassard and Voracek? After all, you believe the Sens and Preds pick are more valuable?

Because when added to the core in Ottawa, the Sens could compete next year.

When subtracted from Columbus, they can't compete for several years. If Howson accepted your offer, he would first be fired, then a mob of angry Columbus fans who would immediately descend upon the CBJ offices, drag him out of his chair, take him outside, tie him up and burn him at the stake.

Karlsson >> 1st overall pick

You are way overvaluing the talent level off this draft. Sens pass on moving EK

Karlsson > Voracek > 2011 1st overall

You say no deal because Voracek haven't done much lately and now you say deal because Karlsson isn't worth the 1st?

You need to let your guard down... I said I wouldn't want to give up the assets needed for Brassard. I did not comment on your proposal. All I said was I'm only seriously interested in Voracek.

The value is possibly in the ballpark, but Columbus can't really do deals that send roster players for picks and prospects. They have been in a perpetual rebuild for 10 years thanks to the Genius of FAN590, Doug "the angry analyst" MacLean.

Howson has to make moves that strengthen his team for this year and next, not futures.

Yeah agreed, I think its fair value but not realistic.

thats funny!!!

On another note

I would trade

Karlsson and Nash 1st
for
Voracek
Johansen

or

Spezza
for
Brassard
Voracek

but I've mention these before and I am sure people are sick of them.

Judging by your userID, I'm going to go ahead and make the point that you probably aren't all that impartial re: Brassard.

Also, if he's doing such a great job, why is it your team misses the playoffs every year, and Jackets fans are always crying out for a #1 C to play with Nash...?
