I gotta wonder what a first line of Sturm-Kopitar-Richardson could do. How hard would it be for Richardson to move to the right side?

I realize Brown has been inconsistent all year but I have no idea how anyone can say having him off the first line is a positive think when the current first line wingers are Wayne Simmonds and Marco Sturm.

Love how Sturm, who was marginal before the injury is slotted right back into the #1 LW spot when he returns.

I realize Terry has his hands tied in a way with the crap Dean has provided him on the wings, but he isn't helping the cause one bit.

Harry,

How many of those points came in October for that line. I believe after 15 games or so Smyth-Stoll-Williams were all point per game players, look where they stand now.

That line has not been very good lately. Mainly because Smyth is having a hard time keeping up and is useless away from the goal crease area. I would like to see what someone like Richardson could do on that line.

No matter how you slice it, Sturm is a top-6 LW. You have to play him there. On the third line, he takes on a shut down role, something he is not that good at. On the 4th line, he is a complete and utter waste.

I amazed that TM has tried so many different line combinations this season, but is yet to reunite Smyth-Kopitar-Williams.

... Since his most recent callup, Loktionov had 5 points in 12 games, very comparable to Sturm's 8 in 15. When you consider that Loktionov will only get better, and Sturm will only get worse, it's not hard to understand why people would want to see Loktionov in there.

It shouldn't even be a choice, here. Westgarth shouldn't even be on the roster at this point. Lewis shouldn't even be on the roster at this point. If Murray isn't going to use Drewiske or Harrold, then one of them shouldn't even be on the roster.

Loktionov should be on the line with Kopitar and Simmonds. Smyth-Stoll-Williams is fine. Sturm is OK on a line with Handzus and Brown. Clifford, Richardson, and Ponikarovsky should round it out. Is this difficult, here?!?!

If Loktionov is not back on the roster in time for the game against Anaheim, I will be very disappointed.

To be fair, that should be adjusted to a points per TOI figure because the Smyth - Stoll - Williams line has also assuredly spent the most time together too. That said, I also don't think that line should be broken up.

I'm just lost of words about Terry Murray and his line changes. Stupid! But it don't matter what the line up is gonna be, I have a feeling the Kings are gonna make the sucks goalie look like freakin Patty Roy on Wednesday.

"A-Mart" really isn't that good, guys... I know people think I'm just "hating" on him, but I'm really not. He was actually the main reason for the second Moulson goal in Long Island. He curls away like a little girl for some odd reason and lets the Isles feed the slot. Watch it again, it baffles me. He's kind of a.... womans... private part.

Alec Martinez is better than Davis Drewiske lol, he brings more to the table. It might be just showcasing him too though

That, or TM wasn't happy about A-Mart losing the puck on the blue line, that lead to a breakaway.

Pretty harsh to punish that kid like that, he's still young, prone to make mistakes. It's not really fair to make him a healthy scratch, right now we've clearly got problems, this is an important game coming up. I don't like the idea of having Johnson and Doughty on the PP for the full 2 mins, A-Mart can give them a rest.

My thoughts as well.

Also, I'm not sure where the idea that AMart isn't physical is coming from, kid has been nails, particularly for his size.

yeah, i wonder why we just think you're hating on him

drewiske has to get a game at some point if you're going to keep him on the roster. maybe TM forgot about drewiske until people pointed out that he could have been waived in lieu of sending down loktionov.

If anyone wonders why the team has struggled this year, look no further than our 3 most productive lines at even strength.

Terrible.

drewiske for a-mart is stupid. if our problem is offense right now (which it is), then a-mart should be in. i know drewiske supposedly gets it to the net, but a-mart has a pretty accurate shot. and, just to cater to some people's affinity with stats around here:

A-Mart: 39GP, 3G, 7A, +4
Drewiske: 36GP, 0G, 5A, -1

i agree that if you're on the roster, you should probably get a game or two from time to time. but if he's in for the rest of the regular season over a-mart, i disagree.

Jonathan Quick will start in goal against Anaheim and Terry Murray did not announce his fourth line, but based on practice it seems to be a choice between Alexei Ponikarovsky and Kevin Westgarth on right wing. The news isnít good for injured winger Scott Parse, who recently experienced pain

Tough luck for Parse.

Bummed for Parse. He is probably the only player other than Sturm that has looked DECENT on the 1st line with Kopi.
