That was quick.

If Souray isn't on this roster then Zherdev isn't coming here either.

Well my hunch if they do grab him start waiving goodbye to Hemmer.

why? Zherdev only has a few games left in the NHL.
getting rid of Hemsky just because you pick up a dude on waivers for the final 20 games isnt sound "logic". it just means you have another headcase skilled hockey player in the mix with the rest of the turds on this team who can stickhandle through phone booths but cant play real hockey for any extended amount of time.

Well we do need a new goat. I just hasn't been the same since POS left. We've tried running Hemsky and Gagner out of town, but something just isn't right. They just don't inspire enough rage. A skilled, lazy and moody Russian who doesn't want to be here would do the trick, I think.

It's an interesting thought but it would be hard to fit him on the roster, especially with Brule coming back. Heaven forbid we'd have to put Jacques through waivers

He still is a asset that can score some goals I think even though his contract is up at the end of the season it might be a smart move , we could throw him in on a trade for a contending team in a package deal. I can not see any harm in grabbing him. H e will not clear so we should grab him we have first dibs

No, Renney didn't have many positive things to say last time about him IIRC. Peter Laviolette isn't a big fan either from what some Flyers fans are saying.

Penner, Hall and Paajarvi on the left side. Hemsky, Eberle and Omark on the right side. Where does he fit? We could send Omark down but he'd probably stay in Europe next season if we did that.

Zherdev is a 50-60 point cancer. Not worth the risk.

Who do you take out of your top 9 for him? Really no room for the guy on this club.

Plus he has a bad attitude and that is something Tambo is staying away from.

Sorry, should have clarified - zero chance the Oilers pick him off of waivers. I do expect some teams will put in a claim though.

I'd rather have Hagman over Zherdev.

:/

And I'm not very keen on Hagman.

Robert Nillson, except more afraid of corners, and is way lazier and has character issues.

Pass.

You are probably right . I dont think we could trade him if we picked him up anyhow I forgot about waiver rules . I could see the Kings grabbing him if he makes it that far.

They asked Renney about two years ago whether or not they should pursue him and Renney told the Oilers "no", so I doubt his opinion has changed from now and then (remember Renney coached Zherdev in NY).

This could benefit a team like the Kings unless a bottom feeder claims him.

Maybe Columbus takes him and then brings Filatov back.

I'm not serious about that ftr.
