He needs to be on the fourth line ASAP, where he will no be there for his execution and scoring ability but his ability to create energy with his hard forecheck.
I have to say, Nodl's hustle did jump out at me during last night's game. He was doing everything at full speed. He looked really good till it was time to finish some plays. He definitely looked like he belonged in the NHL though. Solid fourth liner.

Nodl does lack that offensive touch. He has some offensive skill but he lacks the consistency to display it on a game to game basis.

One thing about him is he is one of the best forwards along the boards on this team.

thats huge come playoff time, grinding teams along the boards with a good cycle game in a 7 game series is truly important

i remember lavi showing a lot of confidence nodl's defensive game in game 7 of the bruins series when he had him out there on the second-to-last shift of the game. he showed some offensive promise early this season playing on that line with richie and jvr but this has faded. i firmly believe nodl-betts-powe will be the league's best fourth line come april.

Maybe the biggest problem the Flyers have faced in recent games is when the hard work pays off in chances, they are not capitalizing. When the chance to go for the kill presents itself, they cannot finish their opponent off. And it cost them a point tonight.

Check out NHLHS Philadelphia Flyers Correspondent David Strehle's thoughts on last nights OT loss to the Phoenix Coyotes, thanks

^ I agree. We played well - just didn't bury any friggin chances.
And losing because of an OT powerplay goal is always frustrating. Giroux's goal was pretty damn clutch in the 3rd period... Atleast he got us a point.

Nodl was a decent sniper in college, what the hell happened to his hands? If he could finish half as well as gagne the kid would have 20 goals easy.

You could say that about pretty much anyone. Picking on Nodl's the easy thing to do, it's not his fault he's been put on a line with Richards because Zherdev (the real replacement) couldn't fill the Gagne void.
