Ramo will need to be traded
He has previously stated he wants a NHL starting job... as of this moment that aint happening in Montreal

I think if Ramo competes hard enough he could possibly steal the job from Price. He has the talent.

Sparkling, indeed.
That 0.022 difference in sv% is huge. This year in the AHL, for example, it is the difference between ranking 31st and 62nd. In '07/08, that was the difference between 38th and 73rd. W-L record and GAA are more team-based/dependent, but we should all know that by now.

Desjardins this year in the AHL (with injuries): 22GP 14-6-1 2.56 GAA 0.906 % (Norflok has a similar record than Hamilton)

Norfolk's other goalies: 35GP 13 W 18 L 0 OTL. Even I was surprised to see that.

Silly me, I thought the whole point of this sport was to win games. I stand corrected.

He'd have to change his name to Charles Remi.

It's good that his stock is on the up. We could use him in a trade to make our offer more lucrative but trading him alone would get us a mid-prospect or a 3rd liner max.

A KHL all-star goalie can still be a serviceable NHL goalie.

The best places to trade Ramo to:

Chicago
Colorado

Ottawa? A big question mark, division rivals
Philadelphia? A big question mark

Another place that could use Ramo as a starter?

What are the chances that we see Ramo backing up Price for the rest of the season + playoffs? Can we make it happen? I have absolutely no faith in Auld.

Zero.

We can call up Robert Mayer though...
