Hockey store gift cards for sale RI/ MA area.

Anyone familiar with Hockey Dog? Well I won some gift cards from them at a Providence Bruins game. There is 4 cards for $50 each totalling $200.

I am not a hockey player and probably never will find the time to do so in my life. I'm 26 and never learned to skate so probably no hope right now lol.

But anyways I'd like to sell these gift cards off. $200 for all 4 or if you don't need them all I will sell them for $50 each.

If interested please PM me or just reply and I'll keep checking here. Thanks!

There locations are here.

I would either check with the hockey shop to see if they can cash out the gift card or possibly sell the gift card.

$100-200 is a pretty broad range for sticks. Anything top end like a totalone, x60, 11k, or S19 should sell just fine.

Those are all $300 + around where I live... You can get game/practice used for $100 and they are usually pretty good shape tho

Should be able to pick up a RBK 10K unless all the stock is sold off now. 150-170 C$ was what I was seeing them go for, but they probably got all scooped up in Jan.

Why don't you just sell the gift certificate?

You can get them all online around $200 or less if you look hard enough. Trust me. I bought all my Mikens for less than $175 a piece and found a few for $150.

if you're willing to spend about 30 bucks over the 200 mark, i have the totalone and s19 and love them both

if you wanna save some money i would go one model down. one95 is a really solid stick, same with the s17. i've heard really good things about the reebok 10k as well.

If they are of no use to you and you didn't pay anything for them, that sounds like a pretty steep price to pay for them.

How is it a steep price? The gift cards cost $200, you buy them, use them to get what you want for $200 so it comes out even. Regardless of if I paid for them. I technically did. I paid the price for my season tickets or else I would not have gone to the game. I can see this is probably going to go nowhere because people have to put negative comments. So I don't know.

You're relying on someone to just help you out of a jam. There's no incentive for anyone to go out of there way to do this. If you offered them at a bit of a discount, maybe someone would take the time to save a few bucks. Good luck.

$200 for $200, yeah, that sounds like a great deal for anyone, add in the fact that they then have to spend that money in one store and you have a killer deal. Well, maybe not so much.

I guess nowadays people don't like to do favors and help others out? It's a small amount of people who actually will anymore. At least I tried.

Dude, how do you not understand? You're trading $200 for $200, seems fair right? Well, let's see.

First you trade your monies and then you say, "Oh, but you can only spend that money in these three locations: _____. Also, you can only buy hockey equipment with it."

Yay, let's just pass the inconveniences along and then talk about how people don't do favours anymore when you try to inconvienence them!

Come on man, just try selling it for $150 and you might get something rather than nothing. Unless of course you can find someone who actually shops there.

You could just go to the store and wait until someone buys over $200 worth of equipment and say, "woah, woah, woah, wanna help me out of a jam?" and I'm sure they would at that point.

You do make a convincing argument...

If it were me, I'd rather have 200 in cash than 200 in giftcards.

Yeah good idea to wait around on someone or just ask someone who is in there when I go. Because I called to see how long these are good for and they said a year. I've had them longer so the guy said I'd have to go in and have them check at the register. Sucks they couldn't do it over the phone.
I have a feeling I'll be getting s*** out of luck because they are older.

Sounds like they're expired. Even if they weren't, no way you'd get $200 cash for $200 worth of gift cards, that's just being greedy and ridiculous. People are limited to one store which may not have the gear they want (or may not have sales that are at other stores), and they have to go out of their way to pick them up from you.

I'm confused. Did you win the gift cards last year and are just getting around to selling them or did you win some expired gift cards? This is one of the oddest threads I've ever come upon.

Two suggestions (providing the gift cards are still valid) --

See if you can post something at your local hockey rinks (somewhere near the shops) asking $150 (or best offer) for $200 in gift cards and provide your email address. That way anyone interested doesn't have to drive far to redeem the cards. Chances are good that the individual won't be able to spend the whole amount all in one visit.

Or, put the cards up on Craigslist.

The thing is, if you're not going to buy hockey equipment the gift cards are WORTHLESS to you. Any money you can get in exchange for the cards is better than nothing. But if you're near one of their shops you might want to drop in and walk around. Maybe you can find a sweatshirt or NHL jersey you like. From their website it doesn't look like they sell jerseys but maybe they have them in the store and not in their site? I dunno.

I won them at a AHL game. I don't play hockey so I really had no use for them at the time. I knew I had them and was thinking buy something and turn it around to sell.
I'm hoping they will still honor them as it is kind of stupid to have expirations on them. Not everyone runs out to buy something right away. Almost loses business for the store. Because you can't always just go in a hockey shop and spend a small amount of $.
Gonna call tomorrow I think and see if they can tell me over the phone if they are still good, if not I'll go over there.
