Beating a rested team when you played the night before isn't easy - regardless of that team's situation. Granted, chances are improved, but the odds of Minnesota winning tonight are very much in their favor. It's not going to be an easy win.

Minny mixed up their lines:

Havlat-Madden-Bouchard
Brunette-Cullen-Miettinen
Clutterbuck-Almond-Kobasew
Ortmeyer-Nystrom-Staubitz

Throwbacks tonight as well... Might as well make that 3-0 while wearing them...

The Kings have had some tough games against the Wild this year. I have a feeling that tonight will be no different. I can't wait to finally see that throwback in action in person.

Is it too much to ask for a 5-0 Kings trouncing tonight? Kings fans could use a night where a bottle of Tums isn't needed to get through a game.

One thing to celebrate... this is the end of back to backs for the Kings until the home/home with ANA at the end of the season.

... Seconded. THAT's how the Kings should look.

If they go to the playoffs, I would be thrilled to see the Kings wear them for each home game. If there's some luck in them, why not? Look for every edge you can get.

When was the last time a Kings/Wild game wasn't decided by 1 goal?

First off, I gotta say that you guys have one hell of an impressive GDT opening post! It makes ours look pretty ridiculus...

second - I LOVE the Kings new throwbacks, those are about as badass as you can get!

Third - It's going to be an interesting game, the Wild managed to get themselves a little banged up & we have to count on some call-ups having big games tonight. But you guys are a solid team & we usually have some pretty close games..

Hopefully it's a good one! Best of luck guys, here's to a great game!

(btw - Im from Minnesota originally but I've lived in SoCal for 9 years & I love the Kings too, you guys are the only other team i'm rooting for in the west)

oh & lastly, I apologize in advance for the name of the Wild's GDT tonight.. I thought that was really pretty dumb & disrescpectful thing to do. So don't hold all Wild fans accountable for that one, the majority of us are alot more, well, respectful of our opponent so don't take one dudes attempt at humor seriously. It's first come first serve on who starts the GDT & the first thing I thought was "That was unnecessary"

later guys!

Well last game played between the 2 both teams got shutout...without Koivu I expect Minny to lock it down even more....might be the most boring game of the year.

5. Breaking the 20 --On the flipside, Ryan Smyth scored his 20thgoal of the season against Anaheim, putting him in a three-way tie for the team lead with Justin Williams and Dustin Brown. It’s the 11thseason that Smyth has scored at least 20 goals. Now, if Anze Kopitar (18 goals) and Jarret Stoll (16) can get to 20, it would mark the first time the Kings had five 20-goal scorers in the same season since 1993-94. Luc Robitaille (44), Wayne Gretzky (38), Jari Kurri (31), Mike Donnelly (21) and Rob Blake (20) were the team leaders that season.
interesting stuff...

I'm hoping that the game last night took care of the back-at-home sluggishness that most teams tend to get. I want to see us flying out of the gates and hitting this team early.

Welcome to the Kb and no worries imo on the gdt stuff.

I think this will be an interesting game as well. Your call ups are players that I am happy to get a chance to see and you guys are always a tough team to play so it should be fun.

Best of luck

just arrived at staples...it's dead!! what gives? hopefully people are just late, though even that's weird, given the free towels they're giving out. also, they're playing "the boys are back in town" during warmups. awesome.
