McCabe has a NMC too.

By the numbers in thier first seasons Anisimov and Stepan have better production. And while Weiss cap hit is affordable Stepan and Anisimov's will be even more affordable.

Leaving Boyle out of this altogether as I don't think this team has any intentions of moving him at all. He's a stud, he's a monster, and he initiates contact better than maybe anyone else on this team. He makes a difference and IMO will be top 6 within a season or two playing the RW which we are maybe a little light at.

I dont like it.
Yeah, I don't think Weiss has been on Sather's radar, except for may be kick the tires. I think the players he'd primarily be asking about are McCabe, Wideman, and Booth.

I'd love for a deal that included Wideman and Booth, just don't know what it would cost.

We'll see how the trade deadline plays out. Consider me scared, though.
As of recent years, not worried about Sather making trades, really. He is 100,000 times better at trading then signing UFA players.

I have full faith in Sather when it comes to trading/re-signing RFA's. They need to hire someone else for UFA signings lol.

remember last year at the deadline when sather made that Owens for Newbury deal and everyone was bashing it. it looks like Sather won that trade as of now

im sure sather will make small moves like that. he has not made a big trade since the Jagr trade if you were to call it a big trade. when has sather made another big trade for a superstar?? this is why i doubt richards will be a Ranger and why i doubted Kaberle was going to be one. after July 1 then its a difference story.

Sather and Shero are in a special area of GMs that are mystical at trades.

I'm not worried.

David Booth would be an outstanding addition to the core here.

No one ever fully recovers, but he's done admirably. Tied with Santorelli for the team lead in goals, which is 17, and is still a budding power forward who lost a year of development. I'm a big fan of his, so I would love to get him here, but:

a. I don't like his contract
b. His injury past worries me

B is also in correlation with A.

Well, let's look at it this way. All things being equal.

Richards - concussion
Gaborik - concussion

And we may very well invest 14+ million on them.

It's been suggested, the asking price for Liles is a 2nd round draft pick. Avs may get that, but I doubt the Leafs will pay it

I'd give up a 2nd right away for Liles.

But I was told that Anisimov+ Del Zotto wouldn't get us Liles.

Thing about Liles is that he carries 4.2 through next year.

So you'e saying goodbye to Richards in that case.

Good point. When is Liles' contract up anyway?

Thats what I've been saying. He had a hot start but not much in the last couple of months. History is on his side though, he's had several good offensive seasons.

Figured Johnson, Grachev, Weise and Vtank were on the table.

Del Zotto I was afraid of, given that he is the only PMD in our system.

I'm surprised about Werek. My understanding was the management liked the kid a lot.

How good are your sources because I would be happy to create a package that focuses on these assets.

I was dead on a few times last yr with my trades. This source is a former NHL player and was dead on the Bruins trade last week even told me the day which I put on my twitter 3 days before it went down and said Boston was giving Leafs a discount and bam it happened

If we can acquire Stastny while still holding on to Dubinsky, Callahan, Gaborik and Stepan that would be a huge boon for this franchise. I love Stastny's game.

If we could get Stastny and Liles for a 2nd and any of those assets minus Del Zotto that would be a FLEECE.

I'd offer EVERYONE there except MDZ for Stastny.
