LA has at least 11 NHL-ready defensemen.
If one of our top 5 gets injured before/during the playoffs, then I don't want to see two of the emboldened in our lineup simultaneously. We need a veteran dman as insurance.

Not having a legit #6 dman killed us in the playoffs last year. Much more than people realize.

For those that said Simmonds would not get Nash straight up....

Really? I didn't know that. What was I thinking?

Again, the only way I trade Simmonds (in a package), would be for Nash or E. Staal type player.

I don't think you can rely on players like Voynov and Hickey who have never played an NHL game. Their potential may be way higher, but they're not there yet.

Now is not the time of year to be calling up players so they can get their first NHL experience, particularly defensemen. We need the best lineup out there every night.

If we had Vancouver's record, or Edmonton's for that matter, it would be another story. But we need every point we can get now.

Please god no to MacArthur, big deal he's leading the leafs in scoring he's playing on the top line cause they have a terrible team. Last year when the flames traded phaneuf they got the leafs top scorers too and take a look how hagman and stajan are now. MacArthur is nowhere near the player the Kings need

Something around Moller and/or Voynov for MacArthur.
Drewiske an Harrold for Foote and a 4th

The thing with him is, is he having a breakout year or is it overacheiving on a team with no depth?

Honestly couldn't see us pulling ANY deals off with the Canucks or Ducks. Weird list of multiple scouts.

The Ducks/Nucks could be looking at the Wild.

Something cooking between Kings and Bolts?

Erik Erlendsson beat writer for on the Tampa Bay Lightning reports:

Quote:
So, word is there are 4 #tblightning scouts at Kings-Wild game and Jonathan Bernier starting in goal . . . coincidence?
http://twitter.com/erlendssontrib

..of course the Bernier part is pure speculation due to the Ellis trade. Any ideas on what might be going down?

Tampa Bay won't be willing to give up what it would take to get Bernier.

No coincidence at all. It's the 2nd game of a back to back. Use your head Erik. But keep dreaming.
