Franson has the least TOI of any D man. Probably a good thing tonight....
Interesting...

Something tells me AK for Franson is a real deal.
Hopefully sooner then later.

Then we won't make the playoffs unless we can be a realist about this and not think this is just ebb and flow....Ebb and flow means that your not consistent

BUT IT'S DOOMSDAY
It's not an 82 game season at this point. And the teams we are competing with for a spot are not losing. We can't afford to lose ANY games from here on out because we can't be assured the other teams are going to lose.

On a positive note trotz said verbatim about blum

"good news is, Jon Blum is one helluva player"

"There's no way I wouldn't play him if he keeps playing like this"

SOB,Franson and Klein all deserve to be beaten with sacks full of soap tonight. All were terrible, Klein will make a great play one second then a totally boneheaded one the other.

Blum was great. I don't think this had anything to do with showcasing him. He was the third best D out there tonight. Reminds of Suter in the sense he makes smart plays with the puck while remaining calm under pressure.

There is still a quarter of the season left. If we don't go 21-0 I guess it's time to give up on this team. Come on people, it's a losing streak. They happen. They have happened all year, and we have come back from them.

you realize because of this streak we are now 9th in the conference right? But you seem so sure were going to pop right back with a 5 game winning streak and all will be fine.

this argument is getting pretty chippy considering neither side can actually prove a thing

This is the longest sustained period of poor play we've had all season. We've not won back to back games in nearly a month and a half.

I'm not heading for the ledge just yet, but to trivialize any cause for alarm is the other extreme, in this case.

That's one of the few positives that the fans and even Trotz are taking away. He didn't look at all like a rookie, and I've never been Blum's biggest advocate. He easily outplayed not only the Sulzer of late, but Klein, Franson and O'Brien as well.

Speaking of Franson, is it my imagination, or did he take his last shift with about ten minutes remaining in the third? I didn't see him out there again after about that point.

Another thing about Blum.. How ballsy is this 22 year old kid in his second NHL game? I saw him jumping up in the play and saw him multiple times behind the B-hawks goal line. I love it. This kid doesn't lack any confidence that's for sure.

Give him time. Wilson used to play that way, too.

It will get Trotzed out of them, don't you worry

But clearly were just going through another losing streak right? Players aren't concerned at all. (Insert obvious sarcasm face here)

I was actually going to say it's because Trotz hasn't brainwashed him yet but I didn't want to start some all out war on Trotz for the millionth time.
