Kopitar after tonights game is +21; trade him, he is a floater
I don't care what some people say, I think Kopi has become a very good two way player. He's come a looong way and at +21 is just freakin awesome! He's really worked hard doing the right things. There's still tons of room to improve on but very excited this kid has become a pretty good two way player.
Message to other teams: Please please please piss off Brownie at the start of the game, so he plays with a chip on his shoulders all the time please. This was perhaps one of DB's best games of his career.
And dare I say it, did they FINALLY change up the PP where they bring the puck down low bringing the D back away from our guys on the blue line? I also noticed Kopi moving away from the side boards after passing it down low creating more movement giving even more room for good shots with bodies in front. That first power play was much much improved.
Other than the weak sauce 1 on 3 goal, this was a solid of a win as they come. Things were clicking, good night for the Kings.
good sign tonight after giving up a very late goal clifford and others coming out of the dressing room high fiving fans and smiles all around, confident group of players, and mitchell laughing and smiling at the start of the penalty kill at the end with only a 1 goal lead....
God I love the old uniforms gives them a since of tradition, uniform that while not as old or storied fits in alongside uniforms like the Redwings. Beautiful.
the game was great! lots of arena-filling "go kings go!" chants, even some that weren't started by the PA or bailey! speaking of which, i fist-bumped bailey. it was awesome.
Just a quick stat, Kings are tied with Nashville for the second least goals given up in the entire league. Boston has let in one goal fewer, albeit in one less game played. Who needs offense when you have defense like that?
...just kidding. But man, those are our power jerseys. We come out to PLAY with those bad boys on.
