I would guess Svatos can't go.

My guess is Winchester is not ready yet, or O'Brien is not up today.

I hope people don't judge Locke's play based on how he does against better teams. I think Anderson and Butler and most of the recent call ups have caught breaks due to the quality of our opponents the last few games.

Or you can just watch Locke play regardless of his opponents. He's too slow for the NHL. Too bad because his playmaking ability borderline greatness!

Butler's also got a goal in each of his last 5 and Anderson's given up 1 goal in his last 70-80 shots. Breaks or no breaks...it's much better than what Locke has shown...expectedly so.

Given his age and the idea that most think he will never evolve into an NHL skater, this is probably his last shot with Ottawa. Probably career AHL or heading to KHL.

Would love to see him succeed here and wish him the best. But its now time for CL

If he can't skate he's not going to make it in the KHL.

Butler is on the top line. Our last 4 out of 5 games have been against bad teams(better than us....but still bad)

If Locke is being called up to centre our 3rd or 4th line might as well keep him down.

At best Locke is going to play with Foligno and maybe Condra/Shannon and that's only if he is on the 2nd line.

It's been made pretty clear he isn't an NHL player. That's pretty much all you need to know.

Excuses are already being made for Locke before he's even stepped on the ice.

By who? His 7 games played? Murray signing him and saying he will be given every opportunity to make the big club?

"At worst, he's a top-end American league player and at best he's a player that's gonna get called up and give us quality minutes," said Ottawa assistant GM Tim Murray. "He's a power-play type forward with a lot of skill, so I think it's a great signing for the organization."

A minute on the PP would be nice.

He is the TOP scorer in the AHL. How does he get a break?

I'm not saying he is our saviour but give the guy a real chance to prove his worth.

I like Locke. Give him a few more games up here. Time to let the kids play. It's been fun to watch.

Seriously, our 2nd line should be Bingo's 1st.

Locke paired with Lessard on the 4th line, seems about right.

Gotta think Locke will be moved up to the second line at some point. He's pretty much useless if he's not in a top 6 role. I guess we should expect minimal minutes from him tonight.
