I like all the Wilson hate. What do you really want the kid to do with Smithson and Ward? Let's be a bit realistic here.

To be fair, Wilson has trouble with consistency. He has looked really good at times this season, but the reason he is playing with Smithson and Ward (aside from injuries to centers) is he hasn't been that good lately.

But then I guess only a handful of players have been good lately...

we have a 30 goal scorer on our roster who is underperforming right now in Hornquist. He is in the big buck boy club as far as this team goes with Lewgwand and erat and dumont. Time for him to stop taking weak perimeter shots and drive the net again. He is as much to blame as the others right now.

Can you blame him for not driving the net? Every game he's done it, he's been hounded by the other team, and yet, not a single person on our team runs over to defend him.

Wilson was playing great on the line with 11 and 27. Then Sullivan came back, and he has been shuffled around ever since. I am guessing that would be attributing to "inconsistancy".
He has been on the PP, and off it. Looked hesitant in a few games, instead of playing with confidence, which when he has it, is a beast!
I thought Ward had a strong game as far as "his role" and Blum looked relaxed and played well for you guys.

yes I can. and I did. He should drive the net, his teammates should have his back. both are at fault.

Let me ask you this, if you drove the net and took the amount of abuse he takes on a nightly basis and never gets any back up, would you continue to drive the net? At a certain point, you lose interest because you're the only one doing the dirty work and you're the one taking the beatings. Sorry, I'd be like, how about you guys help me out and drive the net too or how about have my back so I'm not out of the NHL by the time I'm 27.

There's only so much abuse that one person can take before saying "**** this, I'm tired of getting pushed around every time I go into the slot," and I think Hornqvist has reached that point.

pay me three million and i will show you. horn doesn't like a hand in his face, wear a cage. we pay him to do the dirty work and all of a sudden he starts playing the soft euro perimeter game. hell, he has perfected tootoo's shot from the dot directly into the goalie crest.
