I'd be extremely upset if we gave up Schenn for Hemsky. Lombardi must be offering something like Voynov and a 1st or Simmonds and a 1st. If Hemsky comes this way, I'd imagine a RW is on the way out or we move Brown to LW, either way we'd be deep on the right and still weak on the left, that's why Penner makes more sense than Hemsky

I can't imagine Hemsky getting more in return than Kovalev

Trading Simmonds is an awful idea, and I don't know why people are so comfortable putting him in trade proposals. Wayne is a good player, and he's the RIGHT kind of player for the playoffs. Factor in his toughness, which we kinda don't have a lot of, and theres no way he should be traded.

I'd say our list of untouchables is: (excluding the obvious Kopitar, Johnson, Doughty, Quick)

Schenn
Bernier
Loktionov
Williams
Simmonds

Players I don't WANT to trade, but would if the right deal came along:

Smyth
Stoll
Brown (I guess I wouldn't want to see him leave. Not sure..)

Aside from Quick and Doughty, none of those players should be untouchable. Highly unlikely to be traded, but even Kopitar can be had for the right price.

we will have to give up something if we want anything of decent value. With that said I think Lokti is the guy that gets moved over Schenn. I believe he is more expandable with Schenn's value rising.

Oh, come on. These guys are NHLers. I don't think it really matters what wing Dustin Brown plays, and I really don't care what wing Alex Ponikarovsky sucks on. Things can be arranged.

As an Oiler fan I was hoping for Schenn, but a local radio show up here pointed out our top six is looking pretty good so a deal around Simmonds might get Tambi's attention.

David booth (who is on D.L.'s list from L.A. fans) hasn't scored more than 60 points and is a .55 PPG player no where near Hemsky

If DL give Simmonds & a 1st for Hemsky, he should be fired on the spot.

The ground is shaking.......

The wind is blowing..............

Its almost time for us all to get over emotional and really happy with DL and what he has done
or it is almost time for us all to get over emotional about what DL should have done.

What he has done is built a good team with plenty of low hanging fruit top notch assets that other GM's covet.

Im not saying anything about anything, just that its almost time for us all to do what we have been waiting to do these past two weeks.

Well when he gives that up for Booth, better find the nearest tree and a rope.

He won't give that up for Booth. DL is way too conservative to do something like that. But something will happen and I can't wait to see what.

Sorry that's not going to happen either. Simmonds & Schenn are not going anywhere. Same goes for Clifford.

As someone stated earlier, Simmonds is perfect for the playoffs. He hunts down pucks, he's great in the corners & on the boards. Some of you need to see pass the current stats & look at the intangibles he brings.

I gotta agree.

Booth has had 4 concussions two of them class A major's in the past year and a half. Does he have talent? Sure but is he worth making a deal that would send valuable assets Fla's way to get him? I'd give him at least a year of being healthy before I would consider it.

Who Booth prefect for the playoffs......has he even played in the playoffs. Hemsky 24 games played 17 points won 3 games for us in 06 closed out 3 series Detroit, Ducks, Sharks. Mr.Clutch

I was referring to Simmonds. I corrected it.

You can do all the selling you want on Hemsky, I still wouldn't trade WS & 1st for him.
