I hate saying this, but I get the feeling that in this season alone, Gaborik was super confusing the point men. The power play by committee seems to flow and work much better.

One day, we'll all find out why Gaborik decided to stop shooting and skating on the PP

Player of the Game for me was Derek Stepan. I thought he played a fantastic all around game, EC, and HL get the nod as well, hell all three are the POTG

Good: EC was all over the place. Good stuff!
Bad: can't really say anything bad, other than not noticing Avery/Wolski
Redden: none

Hey boys just got in from work. Huge win. I listened to the game, just curious about the Stepan "elbow" on Green. Was it an elbow, review worthy for suspension? Just curious before I watch the game tonight.
EC play as well as box score says?

It was more off a Shoulder/Back to the head.

Very nice, even better it led to goal. And I noticed Feds only had 4plus minutes of ice team, and Wolski 13. Something up with Feds, and Wolski have a weak game, or just other lines stepped up?

I think its Callahan being back that has really improved the powerplay. He is great in front of the net on the pp. He has 7 powerplay goals so far this year. Wolski has also done a nice job since he started playing the point.

Slats' head is probably spinning right now.

Score six tonight and basically play well when your only star forward is on the shelf.

Give up **** with your All-Star d-man out of the line-up against one of the most potent offensive teams in the league.

Great team win!

Other lines stepped up and Fedotenko is still recovering from his surgery. He also took kind of an awkward hit in the game but I think he was out there after that...

edit: nah, Feds didn't return after that hit. Same shoulder he hurt before, though he says it's just sore...we'll have to see tomorrow

I think Wolski is still banged up too so he might have gotten his time limited a bit. He made some really nice passes and plays that didn't result in goals

Lundqvist impressed with the way Rangers defensemen stepped up tonight with Marc Staal out. Particularly Ryan McDonagh.
Good call, they all played well tonight even Gilroy

Agree 6-0 win is big with Gabby and Staal out, to go along with our 7-0 win earlier in season. But Caps haven't been scoring much this year.

Still an irresponsible play by Stepan. I know he was upset, but if you are expecting a hit from the blind side, you cant lead up high.

Lesson learned. He's young and will probably think twice next time that happens.

True about Wolski getting some rest. What a great win, can't wait to watch. And Boyle netting his 20th, good for him.

I don't think it's worth getting on his case about. It wasn't that bad or malicious or anything, it's just a play that happens sometimes and it was an accident. No reason to treat him like he did something really bad

Not to be a homer , but vs us
Several slew foots subban / Cindy
Shish ke bob spear by Burrows
Cooke flying head shot on Anisimov
Staal vs Staal hit the other night

Stepan uses upper body Forsberg move to get loose puck Green in vulnerable position injured should not equal automatic suspension .

I am going to be very upset if Stepan gets suspended. It wasn't malicious at all, he was just angling for body position and Green got caught off guard. Did Stepan really "target" Green's head? No chance.

Torts is right Forsberg used to do that all the time. It's borderline and probably was a penalty but Green should of got a penalty for boarding. I dont think Stepan deserves a suspension for that.

I agree. Was Stepan mad from the crosscheck, I think so. Is Derek Stepan a headhunter, no. I don't think is anything like a Cooke or Richards hit. I hope he doesn't get suspended.

NYR shut out a team that entered the game with green, AO, semin, backstrom, and carlson, WHILE missing their premier number 1 shut down d-man….. and Girardi gets a single freakin' vote??

POTG- Stepan. I don't care if he was -3 and invisible all night, taking FeauxHawk Green out of the game is more then I could have asked for. Not to mention he had a dominant shift for the GWG.

Good- Everyone, Hank was very close to POTG, because he was dominant. MDZ () was very good defensively, and made a nice play on the power play for Stepan's goal.

That's it, a textbook game where the Rangers finally got some luck on their side. It doesn't happen often.
