Trade for someone that has leadership, headsmarts and character. Probably cant play hockey
Now just to clarify, are traditional playoff rentals (the likes of which that are targeted by nearly every playoff contender every year, ever) now being equated to dumpster diving? Must the cup be won to elevate them to some new rank of merit?
This trade would be an excellent way to start a street revolt in the city of Edmonton.
Probably. They are overvalued by Edmonton fans. Penner is not that good. Dude had a good season last year but is inconsistent. Has only scored more than 47 points once and that was last year (63p). Not worth more than a first and prospect IMO. Hemsky is very skilled but often injured. Another 1st and high end prospect. If I'm edmonton I consider this. You get two firsts, a solid dman with some upside in amart, and a solid player in moller to play with mps. I like it from the kings pov because it improves the team this year and next year. If the penner/hemsky experiment does not work then let them walk and the end of next year.
Don't like the options. He'll likely just land a depth scorer, someone of the Cory Stillman-mold. Not from left field, but nothing great or above average either. I still say he should have claimed Zherdev.
