I really hope he can turn it around. This is probably for the best at this point.

A Gilroy or Eminger move may not be that imminent then. Or at least that's what I got out of it.

Bad. Gilroy still on the roster

Guess that means McCabe is a go for tomorrow night

Hopefully this kills the rumors about us dealing MDZ.

Possible trades now include
Gilroy/Eminger for Carkner or Gilroy + for Tyutin?

On F there are certainly questionmarks. Guess we will find out on Monday

He looked like he was turning it around, but he's still got a ways to go. Smart decision. Work on your shot accuracy down there, DZ! He had zero goals during his last stint in the AHL and that's something that needs to improve.

I would like to see Eminger in over Gilroy when Staal returns.

This means we're not dealing him.

Also, if I see Gilroy-McCabe i'll be sick. Eminger-McCabe better be the pairing.

Why not...

McD - Girardi
McCabe - Sauer
Gilroy - Eminger (< 8 mins of ice and far away from Stamkos)

Good.

Lets him play 20-25 minutes a night and continue his development. He got 15 minutes last night cause of no Staal. Hopefully he can keep getting his confidence back cause he looked better then what he did before he got sent down.

Really glad they made this move. Del Zotto has a ton of potential. He needs to spend some time in Hartford getting his confidence back and on the right track again.

Ugh, I forgot Staals gonna be out. I guess it'll be necessary.

But as soon as Marc is back I want Gilroy out.

Oh absolutely. I think he's gonna be dealt for a late pick. Torts doesn't like holding 7 dmen if I remember correctly, and with DZ just a call up away I wouldn't be surprised at this.

Hopefully Staal will be ready to go Tuesday night and we can ship Gilroy and go with..

Staal - Girardi
McD - Sauer
McCabe - Eminger

headed into the playoffs.

It does not mean that in absolute terms - yes you are correct - but it does make a trade less likely imo. Kinda deflates his value a bit...
Time will tell

The past few games have been really good for MDZ, I'd rather see Gilroy go personally.

Can't see how it deflates his value. He has struggled this season, and it's no secret. Surely any scouts that have seen him this year have reported that back to their management. Anyone that's seriously interested in him will be well aware of his issues, I'd think.

Rangers also needed to clear cap room adding McCabe's remaining $1.3M. Having Delly in the AHL saves $ on the summer cap. Two way contract.

But team's scouting departments also have records of Del Zotto from games they watched last season as well. They will surely be looking at last season when determining his trade value.

Absolutely. They'll look at the big picture. Which is why this move, sending him down to Hartford, shouldn't have any impact on his value.

I don't think it impacts his value at all, but I think if the team was looking to trade him they wouldn't have bothered to send him to Hartford.
