he is only 95% at fault for the last goal, because it was Stoll who put it in, so he gets the other 5%

We almost outshot them by 30 shots.

Kings should be happy how they played, but three things that need to be fixed:

- 5-on-3
- Playing smart (I.E: Jarrett Stoll)
- Someone teaching Quick how to play a puck

Otherwise, we crushed them. Kopitar played great. Richardson should never sit for Westgarth.

We still need another guy or two in the top six if we wanna make a big run this season, but can't be upset with 1 regulation loss in 14.

Lol. Yeah but is it really 5% because if the puck doesn't hit stoll then the pass gets through and the avs have a wide open net to shoot at from 4 feet away.

I would maybe reduce it to 2% Stolls fault and 97% Quicks fault with the remaining 1% going to bad luck.

Kings gave up the three goals on purpose so they can up their 1-goal win percentage. :|

basically i wouldn't complain about that game really. murray will probably lay into them for the effort in the 3rd and that's fine, but the game was pretty much just weird. we absolutely throttled them for about 48 minutes and they finally came to life at the end. kind of a rope a dope thing. as a fan, i love how they played though. absolutely relentless pressure in the first two periods, never really let the avalanche get comfortable. exactly how you're supposed to play against a bad team. i can forgive the end because the outcome is the same whether we win by 1 or 4.

Agreed. But that ending just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

We only blow these huge leads at home. On the road, we crush teams 5-0 and such. We did that to the Avalanche earlier in the season. Kings were coasting at the end and got surprised by the Avalanche not giving up.

It's funny that on this board there are so many factions.

It's like you support Quick and hate Bernier or the other way around. Same with Lombardi, etc...
I guess that's what happens when someone makes a lot of posts in a forum, eventually you have to start choosing sides because of insignificant arguments that you get too involved with.

big shoutout to Fishhead for the free tix! game was pretty exciting, always good to see the kings put the pedal down, even if it was only for the first two periods! two points!

Wow was THAT not pretty in the 3rd. I thought we would walk away with a 5-0 shutout.

The PP and especially 5 on 3 NEEDS to get better. It's too predictable and that's where a sniper/scorer would pay off HUGE. The Avs showed what a team should be able to do with all of the man advantage time.

Quick needs lessons on how to stop/clear a puck. WOW, how many times will that get him this year? It seems worse than other years.

Kopi was great tonight, as was Richie. Too bad for Richie we can't play the Avs all year long.

Doughty was good today. He saw the ice great, always a few plays ahead.

Our PP is horrid. Against Vancouver last year we were able to tag them repeatedly on the PP. As things stand right now there is no way that can happen again. Doughty is playing very well right now. Was never really worried about the result.

You know, for once, the PP was creating OPPORTUNITIES...there was just no finish. LOTS of shots sailed wide. If we could have capitalized on a few of the empty nets, it could easily have been 6, 7, or 8 to 0.

Happy w/the two points. Kings learned what they need to work on. Looking forward to Monday!

Avs suckage literally lulled the Kings to sleep in the third.

mondays game is the real test.

Nice to see just a little separation finally in the WC standings. They need to keep the intensity up. Let those other teams battle it out for the last few playoff spots.

I think we have a chance against them this year... Randy Jones will be nowhere near our lineup...

So true. Quick, 3 goals on 17 shots. Still lose the game, but destroy goalers stats.

Richardson would make a damn fine 2nd line center with Brownie on his wing.
He is so much more of a playmaker than glass Jarett

Nope. A lot of standing around and point shots wide. They did have a lot of zone time on them, just too predictable. They were much better on the 4-on-3.
