AK+Eller

I know they're in a lot of rumors and whatnot, but on a positive note, aren't they looking like a pretty good duo? Martin always talks about forming duos on lines, and I'm really liking what I'm seeing. With AK playing on the PP as well, i bet he's not that angry that he has Eller as his center, 4th line or not. It really feels like the forwards are really trying to not get traded, lol. After struggling so much as early as last week, it seems we score 3-4 goals a night all of the sudden. Going to be really interesting to see what this last performance, especially by AK, will mean on deadline day...

This goes to show that Gomez was largely responsible for AK's scoring slump. Just watch Pacioretty see his production drop now that he's with him.

AK-Eller-Moen is a line of three big guys with complementary roles. It's nice to see a skilled and physically imposing line on the Habs, we haven't seen something like that in quite some time.

I hope AK stays. I don't think what we can obtain for him is as valuable as he can be, if paired with the right center.

You know what happens when we have AK, Eller and Moen on the same line?

We beat the other team with A KEller Moen

(2nd time I do this, but this thread is just as appropriate)

They are a pretty good duo. But Eller really needs to hit the gym this summer. If he was built like AK, he would become a force in this league.

In no order

Plekanec-Cammy
Gomez-Gionta
Eller-AK
DD-Pouliot

We've got 4 duos now, just need some skilled grinders, we got a good one in Pacioretty but we need a couple more...

Pouliot - Desharnais
Kostitsyn - Eller

If only we could get them each a winger (Sturm would of been huge, IMO). Darche will help when he gets back.

Cammalleri - Plekanec - ???
Pacioretty - ??? - Gionta
Pouliot - Desharnais - ???
Kostitsyn - Eller - ???

The question marks are plugs, but those are some nice starts to every line.

Pools is great with DDH, I would try White with AK and Eller.

I really like the pairing ; Eller looks so much better at center than wing, hope they will leave him alone now...

If Desharnais is to become the clear cut 4rth liner as it seems, I hope they find another spot for PouPou ; think he can help the 5 on 5 with decent linemates.

Real question is are those holes filled in house 2 years from now?

AK's biggest weakness was always his awareness. He feeds off his teammates energy, a passive player like Gomez is only going to encourage the worst from him.

I don't know how long it'll last but with Eller playing as a centre like he should, it looks like a good fit. Eller is a lot like a bigger Pleks, and intelligent, hardworking players seem to be a good effect on AK. I'm not sure what Kostitsyn's fate will be, but it would be a mistake to dump him without getting something that can help us now in return, and he could be heating up at the right time.

I wouldn't mind seeing this, which would give us 4 balanced lines:

Cammy-Plekanec-White
Pacioretty-Gomez-Gionta
Pouliot-Desharnais-Darche
Moen-Eller-AK

With the possibility to switch Darche and White...

I really hope we don't trade AK. I don't think he's lazy etc I really do think he's just gotten the **** end of the deal this year being moved around different lines all the time playing with Gomez etc.

Imagine if they could get a guy like Penner?

Penner-Eller-AK46

I mean I'm not mega Penner fan, but I do think he could help our team. I know they'd play him with Gomez or something stupid if we got him but honestly Penner-Eller-AK would be killer.

lol at Pouliot and Desharnais still on this team in 2 years from now.. A.Kost will be resigned, he has easily the best package on the team, its just a matter of confidence and keep playing like he actually does, in fact Im really happy about his play since his meeting with Martin, I knew the pts would come..

Andrei and Eller are good together, they should be roomies. I'm positive some of Lars' character would rub off on; him he seems like a geniune good person and a hard working kid. Not that Andrei isn't, but he needs to find a new "bro" to hang out with imo and Eller is the perfect fit.

The duo seems to be working pretty well. I like how two goals I think in the last 3 games were directly caused by Kostitsyn's physical play down low followed by a pass to Eller. Kostitsyn leads the team with hits, it's nice that he has something to show for them now.

IMO Moen works best with Ak and Eller and Darche seems to work with DD pools. Pacs with Gio and gomer and then we just need one for pleks and cammy.

I saw the Nos Canadiens with Eller the other day and he seems like a really nice kid. He was talking with the interviewer and she was asking him what it's like to be so far away from his family. He said it is tough, especially considering his Mom cannot fly, so she has to take a boat to come and see him. He actually had a few tears in his eyes. Tells me he's a decent guy for sure.

Loving Eller. How anyone can doubt this kid is beyond me. He has great skill and most importantly...he is a workhorse! The guy doesn't quit and will take a beating to score.

His style of play depends on him putting on more weight and once he does he'll be a force. He can be a good two-way second line center in the not-too-distant future.

A dynamic duo for sure. Eller looks like he's playing his natural position and AK looks rejuvenated. Points in three straight for those two.

Wow are some of you gullible

So, the new excuse for AK's garbage play, is Scott Gomez, LOL.
