I have a friend coming to her first game today. Please give her a win. Besides, I hate this team.

I have no encouragement to offer y'all. We can try to make it a three-pointer for you folks, but I make no promises. We're presently even with New Jersey as the hottest team in the NHL, and so it's going to get very interesting.

Hoping to see a little more of Blake in this game. He sounds like he's going to be a real game-breaker someday. Calvert will be there to provide inspiration.

I'd like to see Trotz switch up Legwand and Fisher today. Also I think it's a given that Tootoo is back in today against Columbus.

No, Legwand is not "the answer", but considering who's in our locker room this morning I believe he is a better fit for SK and Erat to play a transition game than Fisher is. I also believe Fisher on the Wilson-Hornqvist line provides a better fit and gives us a little more balance.

Kostitsyn - Legwand - Erat
Wilson - Fisher - Hornqvist
Spaling - Smithson - Ward
Tootoo - Geoffrion - Halischuk

Honestly still a three line team, but gives our fourth line a more defined purpose. Bottom line is that we've gotta improve our transition game so that our forwards are not consistently trapped at the offensive blueline and standing still when we finally dump the puck deep. Those two "meaningless" assists Legwand got yesterday...yeah, they both came from him carrying and making a pass in transition. Oh yeah...we scored both our goals off the rush yesterday!

I 100% agree with the bottom line though. Just grit it out. I don't care how ugly it gets, just win!!! It's not much fun being a fan of this team right now and based on the visible frustration from the guys yesterday, it's probably less fun to be in the locker room right now too.

Keys to the game today:
1) Score the 1st goal - HUGE!!!
2) Be the first to score 3 goals - 28-4-1 when we score 3 goals
3) Have fun accomplishing the first two keys. The guys desperately need to feel the joy of victory today

Given the personnel available, I keep the lineup the same as yesterday. Roll the dice one last time with Dumont, and keep 22 off the ice. Give another shift per period with the fourth line and see what happens. Won't happen, but that's what I would do.

Slake it's like you were reading my mind. I was also thinking yesterday Trotz should switch Legwand and Fisher. It might not work but those lines just don't have any chemistry right now.

As far as the game goes, I'm not afraid to say if we lose this game I don't think we make the playoffs. Yes, I know mathematically it will still be more than possible I just have a feeling. Be happy to eat crow if it is the case.

For those that haven't heard, the Predators Cup Championship (High School) will be held after this afternoon's game at the Bridge. Brentwood vs. Ravenwood for all the marbles.

I want that switch as well. I think Legwand is a better fit for either of those lines actually, because he and Wilson have made some good plays together. But Leggy would be better with Sk and Erat, who are more finese playmakers. Fisher would be about as good with Wilson and Hornqvist. So switch them because Fisher-SK-Erat can't get going. I think Fisher's hard driving style will work better with Wilson and Hornqvist than with Sk and Erat.

Agree with the switch 100%. When we got Fisher I thought he would work well with Wilson.

I got one without a name, so it's good for all occasions. Never have to worry if someone's traded. Or you could go personalized name on the back, some people love that. I'd go with a Weber/Suter jersey if you're looking for someone who'll be here for a while. If you want to buy an up and comer..go with Wilson/Geoff.

Sullivan is on IR, and Halischuk has been recalled. Someone was just posting the lines we used against them in our game a few days ago.

More likely it'll be:
SK - Fish - Erat
Horny - Leggy - Wilson
Spaling - Smithson - Ward
Tootoo - Geoffrion - Halischuk

as SLake said, Fisher and Legwand can (and probably should) be switched up.

SLake, I like your switches but I would do this instead, swap SK and Hornqvist which would give us:

Legwand/Wilson/SK
Fisher/Hornqvist/Erat

I think Wilson and SK with Legwand in the middle gives us our three best players on the ice at forward at the same time. That's just me though. Or we could switch SK and Wilson and have:

Legwand/Hornqvist/SK
Fisher/Wilson/Erat

Fisher hasn't found any chemistry with his linemates just yet.

Which jersey style are you getting: Home, Away, 3rd, Practice?

I have to say I quite like the look of the new Practice jerseys. If I had the $$$ here's my top 5 wish list ATM (since my only custom jersey is an old school Vokie):

Rinne
Wilson
Hornqvist
Fisher
Suter
