Player of the Game & The Good, The Bad, The Redden: Game #64 vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

Player of the Game & The Good, The Bad, The Redden

The RulesWhat is the poll for?

You are voting for the player of the game - the one who put forth the most effort, who put the team on his shoulders, who contributed the most.

Do not vote for the player who had the best statistical game just because he had the best statistical game.

This does not mean you should not vote for the player of who had the best statistical game, but do not vote for him just because of that fact.

Who can I vote for?

You may vote for any player who dressed for the game and played at least one shift. If the player you want to vote for is not included in the poll, select "Other" and indicate in your post who you wish to vote for. In the case that I egregiously miss the player who everyone wants to vote for in the poll, I will count the votes in the thread.

What is this "The Good, The Bad, The Redden" nonsense?

It is my twist on the title of the famous spaghetti western movie, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Since multiple players may have outstanding games and you can only vote for one player in the poll, this affords you the opportunity to recognize multiple players, or a facet of the team, for their commendable play ("The Good"). This also affords you the opportunity to rip players, or a facet of the team, for their particularly substandard play ("The Bad"). Finally, just as "The Player of the Game" affords you the opportunity to recognize the best, this affords you the opportunity to commend the crème de la crème of the worst, who delivered an atrocious performance, or whose singular (or multiple) bad plays directly led to the the detriment of the team ("The Redden").

Those refs were atrocious. Absolutely terrible.

I was pleasantly surprised by McCabe. His point shot and keeping his cool at the blueline is something this team has missed so much.

Well, one thing is certain. McCabe makes this team much more formidable on the back-end.

POTG: Kelly Sutherland

The Good:...

The Bad:The incomprehensible "boarding" on Girardi, our "offense".

The Gilroy: Our 6 goal offense, and it's inconsistency.

The reffing was awful, but it's no excuse for getting shut down like that.

I'm gonna go punch things.

Refs were bad, for sure.

Don't place them blame on them though. We did nothing with our PPs, and scored 1 goal.

POTG: Prust or Callahan.

The Good: Great effort. McCabe looked good. Prust ties the Rangers record for most SHG in a season with Gravy in 93-94, I believe.
The bad: The loss. This Tampa Bay team. I hate them.
The Redden: Officiating. Gilroy.

Boarding on Girardi lol wut?

Interference on Dubi lol wut?

Thanks for nothing refs, however, they still could've won this game and it ultimately falls on them for not being able to put the puck in the back of the net.

**** it, peace out february thank god

The Redden - The officials, 3 gift PP calls
Hedman drops his stick and EC for interference?
Girardi's "boarding"
and Dubinsky's interference

Dubi missing that chance to score early killed us as well, I don't care that it somehow hit a stick, he needs to put that one in the net

another 2-1 loss, but we can beat washington 6-0, wonder what Sather does now

The Refs sucked but the 5 on 3 was due to the Rangers own stupidity.

The Redden- The fact that we can't face Washington every game. Our offense would be ranked #1.

Anisimov has been horrible all season.........

No POTG win as a team lose as a team and we left points behind that we dont have the luxury of leaving behind.

We had 3 PP in the first, and ended the period with 4 shots on goal. We had 23 shots for the game. That's not the fault or the referee.

POTG: Brandon Prust, although it could have been any number of players.

The Good: The effort, once again.

The Bad: The refs.

The Redden: How the hell do they call Girardi for boarding, which creates the situation for a 5 on 3 with the "delay of game" nonsense, and then call Dubinsky for interference WHEN THE LIGHTNING PLAYER SKATED INTO HIM!?

Totally awful effort from the jerks in stripes today.

Yes at the end of the game, the scramble that almost led to the tying goal if someone could tip it on

He kept the puck in the zone at least 5-6 times that it would have gotten by any of our other defenseman, thought he looked very good and will hopefully get better as he gets more comfortable.
