Voynov is 20th on the list of TSN's tradable players, interesting? I have a feeling he'll be gone if we do make a trade. Sucks because I think he's gonna be great, but gotta wait and see.

no NTC for Williams (I know there's a thread for this but I figure more people are paying attention here)

LA with one win today.

Let's get two trades done and had some talent.

Decent deal for Florida. Bergfors has some major glaring issues but he has talent. It's worth losing Dvorak for a guy that could potentially get it together and make an impact there long term.

Yes and no. You can say it's hindsight for later round picks (why didn't we take Zetterberg etc) But when you take a guy and he flops and players taken directly after him in the first round become stars you have to blame the management and scouts. The Kings had three first round picks and should have been heavily scouting players that year. I realize scouting isn't an exact science, I just have a hard time figuring out how our scouts could have projected Boyle over guys like Perry and Loui Eriksson. It happened with the forwards in 2003 and then with d-man in 2008, how can the Kings scouts project Teubert over any of those d-man we could have had.

Brown is a solid player, a good pro, a good guy and our captain, but the Kings had three first round picks in a draft that has been filled with perennial all-stars and potential hall of famers and ended up with one second line RW.

Amazing how eight years later the Kings are still paying for this draft.

Gooning it up for the playoffs.

And Erik D's comment about Hemsky has me super leery. Edmonton is asking for Simmonds, Teubert and a 1st for Hemsky? **** off!

Yeah, he also mentioned earlier this year that we had interest in Iginla or whatever. I don't really trust him but if that's what the Oilers are asking for, then yeah, I wouldn't be happy. But it's better than a Hemsky for Schenn swap, in my opinion. Teubert won't pan out, Simmonds will be a top 9 forward, top 6 at best and the draft is pretty weak this year

I would pay that, to be honest.

Then, if I were Dean, I would create a HFBoards account and troll the Oilers board

Same. I love me some Simmer but I think Hemsky would be excellent at that price.

If it's Teubert, Simmonds, and a 1st, you go for it...

Simmonds/Clifford are similar players. Clifford will take over Simmonds role and hopefully improve in the next year or two.

Hemsky could look like dynamite with actual first liners to play with like Kopitar.

Losing Simmonds would suck, but that is a deal the Kings really should make.

Like AK said, this is a weak draft and Teubert is about #13 on the Kings defensive depth chart.
