I could see Brown going to LW to play with Kopi/Hemsky....someone would have to get in and make room for both of them.

Panger is so sick, saying Bernier shouldn't go anywhere, mentions the depth we've got with Thomas Hickey and whatnot

Am I the only one who isn't all that crazy about a winger that has scored 20 goals twice (20,23) in a 7 year career and looked bad (in my eyes at least) against the Kings this year? The only Oiler who should even be worth our time is Penner.

Not a lot of people do lolol, guys like Mckenzie and McGuire were probably the ones that suggested to post his name up, they know about the Kings depth

3 hours and 30 minutes left and only 1 trade.
Hopefully it heats up now that it's getting into the usual trading time period.

I think Penner fits our style and need more than Hemsky does. We don't need another RW, we've got enough depth as it is with Brown, Williams, Simmonds, Richardson, Toffoli, blah blah. Penner is a bigger body and would fit our grind and cycle system better. Hemsky would fit better in a fast pace system, which is clearly not our system

If Edmonton needs a PMD like the TSN guys are saying, then Voynov would probably have high value for them.

I don't think either would be a preferred target in an ideal world. Hemsky is a play maker when we need a sniper. Penner is an oft-aloof big guy that would fit in our system though. Penner would be a good long term replacement for Smyth.
I'd prefer Booth over either of them.

Voynov
Martinez
Hickey
Muzzin
All of these guys should and could be coveted by several teams, who knows maybe they are but it is interesting how rarely their names come up.

Honestly, with the limited number of sellers, and the asking prices the Oilers are rumored to be after, plus that random jibberish that came out of Florida about injuries, this might be a wrap.

IMO, you put Smyth with Kopi and Hemsky. Hemsky and Smyth had great chemistry in Edmonton.
