What Could B.M. Get For Kuba?

With the Phillips contract extension either Campoli and Kuba basically have to go, we all of course want Kuba to get the hell out of town. So, that brings us to the questions, what do you think we can get for him?

i doubt we can get anything from him. hes a burden to any team he plays for it will be difficult to a find a team that wants to give something up for him.

Salary dump coming this way...

There is nothing wrong with Cowen and Rundblad starting next in Bingo if we have to.

Kuba will have a rebound year next one.

would have to take a contract back that another team doesn't want I believe.

Campoli could be traded straight up for a pick IMO.

Agreed we shouldnt be giving away jobs to kids before camp ,and we shouldnt be moving guys like camps for scraps .Kuba has been playing well and should improve his value enough that we can move him for a pick later on.

Dont trade anyone until we see that our kids are ready to take a job in the nhl

I did not vote.
There was no "Save 10% on Wax Paper" coupon, or equivalent value option to vote for.

I think we should keep him, actually, and trade him at next year's deadline. He'll be considerably better next year - I can almost guarantee it - and even more attractive because of impending UFA status.

Campoli's value will never be higher, IMO, so it's time to trade him instead.

That's just good asset management.

A month or so ago, I was suggesting to target a struggling forward that makes around 3-4M$. Guys like Dumont (4M$), Boyes (4M$), Langkow (4.5M$), Rolston (5M$) and Drury (7M$)

Nobody is going to take a chance on Kuba unless they can get rid of a bad contract. I'd be willing to take on salary on the front to remove Kuba from my line up. Another possibility would be Pahlsson from CBJ. Good friends with Alfi but we would probably have to take more salary as well.

Deal him for the minimum - just get him off the books. Its not the return salary that bothers me but more the fact that the salary is probably attached to a(nother) useless player. New York will be after Richards and be wanting to move salary. If we do take one back from then for Kuba, it had better come attached to another 1st. Rumor was Drury who has another year.
