Deadline Prediction Game Thread

Ok, it's put up or shut up time. All theories will be proved/disproved by tomorrow afternoon. Sooooo..... a game:

Answer the following questions (single answer for each... no multiple guessing)

1. Name a roster player- including injured/scratched- as of today that will not be with the team on Tuesday (three points for a traded player, one point for a return to the Ads).

2. Name a pick that will be traded from us tomorrow (or "none"). One point for a correct answer of none or for 4th round and less, two for 3rd round and higher pick)

3. Name a prospect from the Preds that is gone tomorrow (or "none"). Three points for a correct answer, one for correct "none"

4. Name a roster player that JOINS the Preds. Three points for a correct answer or five for a "blockbuster" player that hasn't been mentioned as coming to the Preds.

5. Bonus: Name a pure prospect (no nhl games ever) that we get.

Winner gets tickets to a remaining home game-- still waiting on Memphis to claim her tix from last year.

_______________________________________

My picks:

1. Franson (passing some of the obvious and going big here).
2. NJ's second
3. Mueller
4. Smid... Wiess... Smid.... Wiess (I'd guess both but go with Smid as the safer pick. If I was going off the board, I'd say David Booth from the Panthers... mush-head line next year anyone?)
5. Ben Gallacher, Florida Panthers

My guess is Franson for Smid straight up. It would give us a stay at home guy to pair with Blum if need be. Then O'Brien and Klein can muck it up together.

1. JP Dumont, Blake Geoffrion. (One will cause the other)

2. Nashville get's a number one (Guessing Washington's for the NJ 2nd and Dekanich)

3. Dekanich, Cal O'Reilly traded off-season to clean up the center situation

4. Radek Dvorek. Nashville has two conditional picks with Florida and the guy is a UFA rental. His profile on THN.com screams 'Nashville Predators' so a trade like this would cause screaming.

5. None. Nashville's depth is overloaded as is.

Help me understand why trading Dekanich cleans up the center situation.

I was more concerned by BFC's belief that Mark Dekanich would be enough for Washington to drop 10 or so spots out of the first round

Oh I love you guys....Like I love the constant bloating, gas, and constipation of my irritable bowel syndrome.

And YES< I do believe it would be enough to move down the 7-10 spots in the draft.

Well, good thing they did away with the written portion of the moderator exam they had back in my day, then

Why am I arguing with a fictional character again? You don't exist. You are like Santa Claus. Tooth Fairy.

No worries. commas were my Achilles heel in creative writing. I understood semi-colons but not commas.
