Can't really blame the habs for not doing anything. You don't pay a premium for rentals in a year where Markov and Gorges are out. If something good comes along im sure they would do it.
It's more the 1st that I would lament losing than Tinordi. Fischer and maybe-Tinordi are reasons why we *need* to keep our 1st. We can't afford to get nothing (or role players of limited upside) out of so many of them. (McDonagh, Chipchura factoring in too).
If you think it's an overpayment that is. Power forwards like Penner (say what you want he has 21 goals on a bad team) and I think, my opinion, Tinordi will not turn out to much. Yes, I've seen him play about 10-15 times this year.

It was a seller's market and I'm sure he could have traded him... this summer, it will be a lot harder and we will still be stuck with him, being a small fragile team that will struggle to make the playoffs and then get eliminated...
