Don't get this move at all...he had been playing great. Love his play, hope he is back with the team full time next year.

Aren't teams only allowed 4 recalls after the trade deadline?

Yes, so if we have to recall White in 1 week because of an injury, it would be a "wasted" recall.

Really puzzled by why we sent him down.

This disapoints me. I don't understand how Dawes fits in better than White, if Dawes is indeed called up.

Habs needed 23 players on the active roster.

So...

12 Forwards
9 defensemen
2 goaltenders

This one really makes me question MGMT. Why did they drag him on a plane all the way to Atlanta this morning? I guess they had something on the table & it got sunk?

This just caps the day!

- is it because they want White to play big minutes down the stretch in hamilton to give him a better developmental experience than being a spare part with the NHL team?

that's the only reason (short of some sort of negative behind-the-scenes behavior issue) I can think of for sending him down... and if so, it kind of begs the question as to why Eller didn't spend some time in Hamilton this year as well...

another head scratcher to be sure... i thought White had played pretty well in his recent call-up, and he obviously brings a much needed element of toughness to the group. Guess JM doesn't want to see any of that down the stretch

He hasn't been terrible, but i don't think he's been the player we saw at the beginning of the year. If Dawes comes up i don't mind this move, especially if he pkays alongside Pouliot and desharnais. Those guys create a lot of offensive opportunities, and Dawes can finish a whole lot better than White. Apparently he's a hard worker despite his size, so hopefully he won't become just another small player on our team. That's if he plays here at all...

I'd rather White's hustle and grit on the bottom 6 than what Tom Pyatt brings to the table..

We will hear the same old excuses the management uses every year. They have a book of them and probably thumb through it to see what one they haven't used yet.

They should worry less about winning in Hamilton and a little more in Montreal.
