Lapierre to the Canucks is pretty much exactly what they needed. Their entire roster is pretty damn solid now.

Vancouver somehow manages to become even more unlikable.

Another season of Kuba is going to be tough to swallow, but maybe he can regain his for a little and not be so slow.

Vancouver will still lose to Philly.

Vancouver has a great top 6 but Philly has a great top 9.

Bahaha Murray says that Leclaire is still not ready to play. Won't be for a while. What a lame lame lame signing that turned out to be.

Ya, no idea what the + could be...

Bolland has a big contract though. A cap hit of 3.375 and 3 more years until he becomes UFA

Kuba + Regin + Bos 2nd?

I know he is a quality player and probably means more to the Hawks than I think but he has a big contract for a 40-50 points player on RFA years (on a good offensive team too where points are easier to come by)

How much would the Sens have been interested anyway?

No actually, I was trying to make a decent proposal but didn't have time to work on the +, so I hit enter and well it didn't make sense

No idea on who the Hawks could have liked...

Penner got Edmonton a ridiculous return. Wow!

Lombardi is going on a limb!

I really hope they aren't going to carry Kuba next year.

Ridiculous return? I don't think so, unless you overvalue draft picks like many often do on this board. Penner is a big bodied 30 goal guy on a fair contract. Those guys are not easy to find. The return was a first in the 18-22 area, which is nice but unlikely to ever be what Penner is. Add in Teubert who has done nothing but disappoint since being drafted (should be a 4/5 phyiscal Dman) and a 3rd OR 2nd round draft pick. I see that as a decent return but nothing outrageous. This definitely makes LA a better team. Good deal for both sides imo.

Yeah and not to pile on too much to your point but I would rather have the NHL player sometimes. Who knows when those pieces will be making meaningful contributions (if ever) to your NHL roster.
