I woke up today and Carcillo is a Flyer.
I'll wake up tomorrow and Carcillo's still a Flyer.
I'll wake up next October and Carcillo's still a Flyer.

I would not be surprised if he is traded for a guy like Reasoner. Either way I don't think he will be a Flyer next year

If a roster player is moved my guess would be its him, but I think that if a move is made they are going to deal picks and prospects.

At this point, if a move is made, a body HAS to go the other way, and Carcillo is the most likely candidate.

If a move is made, someone HAS to go (one way or another); for the same reason we had to send JVR down when we called up Gus and claimed Boynton.

Homer doesn't want to move a roster player.

As for my thoughts on Carcillo? I'd rather have him in the lineup for the playoffs over Shelley. He's still trying to prove to Lavi he's capable of being an effective player.

Effective is a relative term for a 4th liner, I suppose, but there's no arguing he's a better player than Shelley. Love his enthusiasm but I wouldn't cry myself to sleep tonight if he was no longer a Flyer. Shelley, on the other hand, I'd be parading through the streets like we just won the Cup. However, I don't see why anyone would be too interested in him unless they had a solid lineup and needed a goon... I flushed more trade value down the toilet at Wawa this morning than Shelley has to his name...

That's all good and well, but if he wants to add anything, he HAS to move a roster player.

So if he doesn't want to move a roster player, that means he's not making any moves.

I'd be ok if he is moved. Probably won't be here next year anyway.

Ahh but you forget.... we have 2013's 1st round pick! Homer is not happy about that.

I think there's almost no chance that Carcillo is a Flyer next year. Lavi doesn't particularly care for him, and the team is going to be quite tight to the salary cap.

Not saying you're wrong about Carcillo moving along in the offseason, but I've always been under the impression that Lavy likes Dan.

He's been one of our frequent healthy scratches this year, and was at times in the playoffs last year. His salary isn't cheap for a 4th liner, and we have players who are playing significantly bigger roles on this club that we need to worry about re-signing.

His ATOI has fallen to 7.42 from 11.15, too.

Holmgren likes what guys like Shelley and Carcillo "bring" to the table. I dont think Carcillo is going anywhere sadly.

I don't think we'll be able to afford him... getting Leino under contract is a serious reach right now.

I think many folks forget about team chemistry, and i think Carbomb is an important part of the Flyers team chemistry. He has a role to play and is respected by his mates for doing his job which at times takes a lot of courage. He is also capable of some pretty nice plays in the offensive zone in clutch situations.....

Would much rather Wellwood @ 550k than Carcillo @ 1.1 million next year on the 4th line

I'd bet a solid chunk of change that Carcillo is not on the team next year.
