What are the chances that Ottawa keeps Potulny on beyond this year? He'll probably need to show some good stuff right?

These call ups are more significant than they seem. After the trade deadline teams are restricted to four call ups from their affiliates, barring injuries. The Senators have just used three of these in one fell swoop. Expect these players to be sticking around, at least Greening and Potulny, for the rest of the season. The same might apply to Lessard, ugh.

He had 45 points in 80 games with Edmonton a couple seasons ago... There might be some play left in those 26 year old wheels.

It was 32 points in 64 NHL games. I guess 40 if you include his AHL points from last season?

Yeah I knew about that season which is why I had hopes for him. It's possible he could be a good 3rd line C if we go the skill route all the way down our roster.

As with any rule, there are exceptions. And this rule has quite a few of them.
