LOL, Boynton has already injured a Flyer (JVR) in practice. I laugh because he earned a reputation on the Hawks as a harbinger of bad luck after he collided with Hossa in practice and spread a flu among the rest of the team. #blameboynton became a popular Twitter hashtag for a while in Chicago.

I don't have access to Twitter right now, but my preliminary googling doesn't turn anything up.

Is there a link!? I don't want to prematurely rage.

James van Riemsdyk (lower-body injury) and Dan Carcillo (ill) missed Tuesday's practice, but GM Paul Holmgren thought the Flyers' wingers would be able to play Thursday against visiting Toronto.

JVR absorbed a crunching check from Nick Boynton at Monday's practice. No word on if that caused the injury.

At Tuesday's practice, Nik Zherdev was on a line with Mike Richards and Kris Versteeg, while Andreas Nodl was with Jeff Carter and Claude Giroux.

The Flyers shuffled their PP units. They looked like this: Danny Briere-Scott Hartnell-Ville-Leino, Andrej Meszaros-Kimmo Timonen; Richards-Giroux-Carter, Chris Pronger-Matt Carle.

Sergei Bobrovsky is expected to face Toronto. The Flyers are hoping Blair Betts (lacerated finger) and Pronger (hand) are able to play.

It's a toss up. They are different players: one more mobile, the other tougher.

But one is our #7 this year, the other was our #5 last year.

I don't want Boynton as #5, but I'm fine with him at 7.

According to Stephen Whyno in the Daily, van Riemsdyk should be fine, showed no signs of an injury in walking around, and whatever happened probably wasn't a result of the hit.
