If Dubi continues to play this way the rest of the season he'll be lucky to reach/break 55 points. The only time he has been successful is when he has moved his feet. He's back to his old gliding/floating self. If he only hustled like Callahan he would be a more consistent scorer for this team b/c of the skillset he has. He is skilled but not that skilled to float. He needs to move his damn feet and hustle like he was in the beginning of the season. It's gone. I'm not even sure you can say he's out of gas because his partner/line mate continues to hustle game in and out( Callahan)
I can't see him being tired since the schedule recently hasn't been difficult. He isn't playing his game for whatever reason including curling away from a hit in the second.
Who on our team looks real good right now? Who hasn't slowed down scoring wise? How is Dubinsky going to score at a high pace when the team has NO offense?

We need Dubinsky to be one of our top guys. He's playing no where near that. In the beginning of the season he was.
The Stepan line is doing good. Callahan is doing good.
He sure looked like a man possessed in the shifts following the Sekera non-call hold. He may just end up being one of those hot and cold players, but the guy has talent. If he could just be even a little more consistent.
He didn't look that bad, but he's a little bruised up, and everyone on this team holds on to the puck for too long or too little. Hesitation has crept back into their minds as well. Especially on the PP. McCabe is the only one doing his job consistently on the PP and he's been here for 2 games.
as Motley Crue said: It's the Same 'Ole Situation....
Every year it's the same story... everybody knows it. You'll hear every excuse in the book. You'll hear how young we are and that we're rebuilding, you'll hear it all. The truth is our players aren't that good, and haven't been in 12 years with the exception a Jagr-fueled few years.
Nothing new, here....nothing new at all. Just a ton of average players and one overpaid, underachieving softee on the IR.
How quickly people forget. When Dubinsky sat out, he did so due to a stress fracture. The good thing about stress fractures is that you can often play through the pain. The crappy thing about stress fractures is that they linger without prolonged periods of rest. Dubinsky was out a week and is trying to play through it. With all the injuries on this team, he's being a good soldier.
Maybe it'd be best if he had sat out longer when it was first diagnosed, but it's pretty obvious that he's playing through an injury that never really healed.
I think his start to the season was just an admiration. He was overachieving, and this is basically what he is. I didn't really expect him to score 35 goals, so I am not surprised.
My God...not this woe is me, our players suck ******** again...
We aren't skilled enough right now...our second line guys have basically had to be first line guys all season...you don't win The Cup that way.
You want to blame something...blame Gaborik's situation...blame the fact that our defense is an average of 7 years old...blame the fact that we don't have a # 1 center...
Firstly no player can do well and float at the same time for long. It may work for awhile but if the skating and feet moving isnt there it wont work. I like Dubi but i have found a trend that seems to have him tail of as the year goes on. Beginning of the season he looks 10 pounds heavier, in better condition and plays his game much better. As the season goes along he looks out of gas and almost like he is not keeping up with his off ice training in ways he should, obviously not like the summer but to some degree idk. Hopefully he can wake up for the playoffs like he did vs Wash 2 years ago.

I dont agree with that at all. He is a skilled player and can really make an impact. You dont play that well for stretches every year and call it an admiration. He needs to find some way to be able to keep that level up for the duration of the season. Idk if its conditioning or burn out but its not that he doesent have the skill.
He's going to put up 50-60 points because hes a 50-60 point player, not because he isnt skating hard or trying.
I don't agree with this. Dubinsky improves his consistency and he is an 80 point player. They way he protects the puck and simultaneously stick handles at time is very impressive. All young players battle with consistency, Dubinsky is no different.

He does not shoot the puck well
Enough to be an 80 point player. He goes hard to the net but does not have a finsihers shot like a Matt Moulson who is half the skater that Dubi is but can flat out shoot it . I covet JT MM line on th Piles
Cant wait till he holds out again in the offseason. How about become a consistent offensive player in the league before you think you deserve a big contract.
