Am I the only one who wants Washington to stay ahead of us?

I'd rather play tampa or the bruins in the first round personally.

considering how bad we are on the road and how good we are at home this year, I don't care who we play as long as we can somehow get home ice, which won't be easy since we have only 7 home games left.

I'm perfectly comfortable in 6th playing the Bruins in the first round, don't want to play the Pens with Neal-Crosby-_____. I think the goal is to get 3rd, so that if there's an upset, say the Rangers beat the Lightning, then we get to play them instead of the Flyers.

I think the Sens were purposely not scoring in that sequence, that's the only explaination

How can anyone be happy with a win like that? Yeah, great two points. If the Habs played a team with an ounce of talent they would have got killed. There is always an inability to finish off opponents on this team. But of course it was more necessary to get Sopel than it was a winger, right?

Here are the Sens forward lines:

Greening-Spezza-Butler
Svatos-Shannon-Condra
Foligno-Smith-Neil
Potulny-Winchester-Lessard

Small wonder they can't score. It's a wonder they managed to outplay the Bruins.

Welcome to hockey. Sometimes you suck and you win. Sometimes you dominate and you lose.

The Habs have done a lot more of the latter than the former this season.

I think it's just young kids adrenaline, I always find that when a player gets called up they tend to be hot for the first 5 or 6 games. I can't imagine that it would last a long time that way. Just my opinion.

Carbo used to call that "loosy goosy" or something loll said was the players that worried him the most, ones that didn't care their first few games.

Habs are 16-7-1 against the other top 7 teams in the East but under .500 for the rest of the league. I don't know about you but I can't wait until the playoffs start.

EDIT: counted wrong, it's 16-7-3, and it's against the other top 8 (including Buffalo who are 2 points back of Carolina for 8th with 2 games in hand, so they're included)

Startling statistic.

I just look at the bigger picture. I hate that they suck so much on the road and that they play down to the level of their opponents. They always seem to find a way to play on their heels and it gets frustrating.

Foligno-Smith-Neil is a 4th line -- a good one, but still a 4th. I mean, compare with the Habs -- Moen-Eller-Kostitsyn. THAT is a solid third line.

What sucks even more about the road suckage is that if you consider how good we were on the road early in the season, we've been even beyond horrible since.

Eller was a nice surprise today: he was playing PHYSICAL on the boards. And he was successful. Imagine him bulking up/hitting hard and keep what he has now: same speed, handling and board battles...

Should be good.

It's an ugly win but good teams win despite not having their A game. Both teams kinda played sloppy. The Habs usually play better than that against top teams.

Yeah adding 10-15lbs like Pacioretty did should only help him against bigger d-men.
