I never said dont trade the youth but trading AA for a guy we might not even get to play this year is pretty stupid

Some of the posts in the GDT are downright embarrassing. The fans wanted to go in the direction of youth and they are surprised that we struggle at times? Honestly what did people think would happen?

We are a young inexperienced team who have been decimated by injuries this year and people are *****ing and moaning and to make it worse there is some who want Anisimov moved and guys were on Del Zotto's case also.

Its sickening and to be honest i am tired of it. If things are like this at this stage of the season next year then maybe we can start to worry but give it some time for **** sake. The team will only grow closer and gain experience TOGETHER the more faith that is shown in them. Obviously moves will be made at some point in time but why don't we wait and see what the rest of this season and next brings rather than being ready to trades guys who have only been in the league a year.

To be fair, he never got a chance before. When he did, he put up good numbers. To say he's not a top-line talent is spot on, but to say he should be back where he was is off.

Exactly. A bunch of good, solid players, but no elite talent.

No pure talent in this line up. How do you expect us to score 3 or more goals every game?

Just cause we're rebuilding/young blah blah doesn't mean we don't want to make the playoffs.

We had a pretty good cushion for a playoff spot at one point, and it just keeps getting smaller.

You don't just get good one year, make the playoffs and go far.

Part of it is getting that 7th/8th seed and taking your first round defeat (or hell, maybe we'll pull off an upset)

The point is I don't care how young we are. We are right there, we missed it in devestating fashion last year and I dont want it to happen again. Remember 7 years without playoffs? it sucks. I don't want a streak to start again.

You think its not important for this team to get rewarded for season of hard work by making the playoffs??

Nobody says our youth are elite talent, though.

By the way, a non-slumping Gaborik this year and we have a safe buffer at this point. Guaranteed. Dubinsky's also hit a hard, HARD wall.

POTG - Anisimov
Good - McD, Cally in the 3rd
Bad - not burying chances
Redden - the defensive coverage in front of the net

Really need gabby and staal back, even feds adds some depth and is a very good player.

Prospal's dive tonight was so stupid.

This team has me so pissed because they try so hard, they do whatever they can, but sadly they are not that good yet.

Just some quick thoughts to help me cool off...

Player of the game was Anisimov. While McD was easily our best blueliner, I though it was hysterical how Anisimov skated hard, threw checks, took the puck away and scored, and basically destroyed any arguments against him in his "thread".

McCabe was a complete disaster.

Prospal is looking like Shanahan at the end of his tenure here. He is going to have to be a PP specialist for this team, nothing more.

I'm not a big guy for faulting on goals, but McCabe... man

Zuccarello, Gilroy, and Zuccarello again each failed on chances that would have tied the game and seen us a huge point.

Guys, with this loss we are essentially in a 3 way tie with Buffalo and Carolina. We have made this whole playoff thing a lot harder for ourselves with this.

So just because "they're young!!!", they are free of criticism? I agree it gets way out of hand, but if a player plays poorly, they should get called out, regardless of age.

I'd have to agree. We get another 42 out of Gaborik we're in 5th place. This team is potentially one elite scorer away form contending, I just don't want to mortgage the future or butt**** the cap to get him.

Pretty standard loss. Opponent scores first goal. Opponent scores second goal. Rangers wake the eff up and score a goal. Rangers let down. Opponent scores a goal. Rangers wake the eff up and score a goal. Rangers scrap and claw for that 3rd goal but come up short. Rangers lose 3-2.

From reading the posts, this sounds like it was a typical regulation loss for us?
