Whenever I think of PHX I think of LaBarbera and his painfully slow "TIMBER" drop to the ice.

Go Kings!!

And Go PENNER!! Blow us away.

Kings 5-1.

Speaking of Labarbara.. He seems like a distant memory now but he has only been gone for a season and a half. Good God this team has come a long way. The trade for Penner just kinda reminded me of the metamorphosis of this team over the years. As painful as the process has been at times and the team still isn't at the end of the road but it has been pretty fun watching the team progress each year. Let's hope it continues tonight with a big victory!

Goooooooooooo Kings!!!!!!

Big chance to assert ourselves as being not only a playoff team, but one that can get home ice. I also think Simmonds has a big game tonight, he's been playing well lately for the most part.

Hope Bernie is ready to come out and play. I don't know if I can take another PGT of the haters just ripping him apart...oh wait, that will happen no matter what.

Anyway, stoked about this game. So excited to see Penner. I hope he brings his A game. I've been watching a bunch of games this week since the deadline and it seems most of the new guys have done great with their new teams. Did you see Scottie Upshall's first game? He almost single-handedly won it for them. The guy was amazing. I hope Penner has a similar game.

People can no longer make excuses if Kopi has a poor game. He no longer has the "if he had a skilled LW..." excuse. Our top six and even our whole team is sick IMO. We have to dominate.

Nice to see we have a 20 goal scorer on the top three lines.
Actually we have 5 now and most likely stoll will hit 20, and simmonds has an outside shot at 20

I love the top line. Speed, grit, talent and size. Hopefully Kopitar exerts himself and helps our team control the tempo and retain puck position for his 20 minutes a game. I like the looks of the 2nd line as well as Williams brings a skill element and helps Smitty with the board play. The three compliment each other well on paper.

As for the guys bashing the goalies- its just wrong, especially at their age. If you want a true NHL ready goalie sign Vokoun. Both Quick and Bernier are very young, especially in goalie years, they will have their struggles. They learn through playing time, facing shots as well as facing some adversity. Give them a chance to grow as both have shown the talent to be very solid starters in the league. Don't get me wrong, if Quick lets in a goal like he did against Miller in the Detroit game that is worth a little ridicule, its just not the end of the world. Whoever expected Bernier to walk in an play like Roy, give your head a shake. We have a solid 4 goalies in the system, yes including Zatkoff. Let the kids grow before writing them off.

As for the Coyote game, I say 6 to 3 for L.A. Penner and Kopitar have a strong game and maybe Penner will help with Kompon's brutal PP structure."

P.S - to TM - please give the lines more then 20 minutes to gel, I don't want to see Penner on the 4th line in the 2nd period, Brown playing defence and Mitchell moved up to the first line.

Does TM realize that Biz Nasty is playing? I thought we were supposed to change our roster based on who the other team has on the 4th line.

I hope we can win tonight even with Doughty and Brown not playing as "cocky" as they do when Westy is in the lineup.

This very well could be the night Clifford bites off more than he can chew.

Regardless of how Quick played in his last outing, you have to play your best goalie in such an important game. I can't get on board with this.

every game is important the rest of the way. he has to rest at some point, and bernier has been pretty good lately.

Quick has played 3 games in 2 weeks with one of those games getting pulled after 2. While every game is important, Phoenix and the Kings are sitting next to eachother in the standings. This one is bigger than the others.

I'm guessing you liked TM's plan of running Quick into the ground last season.

Penner scores a goal and the Kings board explodes. We still lose. Watch.

Have you not seen Quick play Phoenix?

Career vs Phoenix 15 6 8 0 1 2 43 2.95 399 356 .892 1
This season vs Phoenix 4 208 1 3 0 1 14 4.05 85 71 .835

It's time to see what Bernier can do against them. In 30 minutes against Phoenix, he is a perfect 13 shots, 13 saves.
